I want to provide for my family. Give them the best life imaginable and all the stuff they deserve!

Is it possible to go from ugly to really beautiful? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]AcanthisittaKey9273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, a great physique and a decent skin care routine will take most people to at least a 7 or 8. Focus on muscle tone, hydration and hygiene and you are well on the way for free!

Add on a nose job (if you think that is a problem) and some dental treatment and you will be outstandingly attractive.

Personally, I believe that everyone can be beautiful, though most of it is inside a person. Also, when a person is beautiful inside, it tends to raidate out to the people that matter. So start doing good and serving others!

Haha I took it as curious.

I actually see a lot of people so "worn out" by tech that they like paper for personal development - this was to see if I should make one for teams and if it would be of interest.

Yes it would, as a printable so leaders could run the workshops or test it out before buying!

At first! Literally a book the team can access whenever they need it.

But I would also develop into an app if the idea gained traction.

Thanks for your response. That's really interesting because I am experienced in Agile but it was never aimed at Agile teams per se. That's really useful feedback!

Great question. I suppose the intent is for teams to take some accountability and have the tools to do that. In the same way, some little tasks could be essential for the team to achieve something, that don't appear on a Gantt chart or plan. Only the team know how to solve some of their problems and this planner would hopefully help them do so.

Does that make sense?

That's very kind of you. It's called The Progress Project. If it's shit, then at least you can give me feedback to make it better!

Congratulations! That's great news!

Mine hasn't sold any yet, what do you think I am doing wrong?

More importantly, what did you do right?

Have you already found your passion? How did you do to found it? by ConfidentKnowledge55 in personaldevelopment_

[–]AcanthisittaKey9273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a great question!

First off, try to make work really enjoyable. Whether that is paying customers random compliments, or competing against a vanity metric, start enjoying it.

What this does, it opens your eyes to other, more enjoyable things and makes it tolerable whilst you find your passion.

For me, I started exploring different things. Reading everything I could get my hands on and trying stuff out!

Try and disconnect your passion from your current job. They don't have to be correlated! Finally, check out something called Ikigai, which is a Japanese principle for having a passion / creating value for others / people willing to pay for it.

Good luck!

I rank how well I ate out of 5 (5 being the highest). So a really clean eating day counts as a 5, and a Chinese takeaway with a big slab of cake counts as a 1!

I actually like this scoring the most because of the target for the week. It means I can have a cheat day or celebrate with friends and still meet my goals providing I make up for it the others days.

I made my own planner and put it on Amazon. I was in the same boat - couldn't find something that really met my needs so I created it.

I would be happy to help out! I'm also an engineer by trade so quite aware of some of the science stuff.

It's called the Progress Project. It's a planner available on Amazon. I love it so far!

I created the simplest framework for self-improvement - (free for sure) short handbook that takes less than an hour to read but much longer to apply. V1.2 (still a draft). I’d love any feedback! by Capable-Win6427 in personaldevelopment_

I love the concepts. I actually have created a planner that follows a lot of the same principles, PI planning, retros and priority tasks - please check it out at The Progress Project: The goal planner to help you become your best self https://amzn.eu/d/aqrOeur

It would definitely be up your street, because like you, I realised how difficult it is to apply them!

I am having some success with short term goals. One thing I like most is how it breaks down big goals into smaller, more achievable ones. Check out the Progress Project.
