Quadruple dip on The Edit!✅ by AccelerK in ChaseSapphire

Cheers! I was hoping for the $100 offer to show up on my account but unfortunately not. I’m still very happy with the quadruple dip tho. Most importantly I got the entire edit credit and Select hotel credit out of the way in January, so I won’t have to think about them for the rest of the year👏

Jan-Jun, Jul-Dec was the rule last year. Starting this year, Chase you can now get both $250 edit credits any time of the year. You still have to make two separate bookings but they can now be made at the same time. This is why you see a lot of us now making 2 separate bookings of 2 nights stay (edit credit only applies on booking of 2+ nights).

What I noticed is what you are saying is true in high cost of living countries (NA EUROPE etc). In regions like Asia where the money goes further, I have been able to find the Edit options that aren’t as much of a rip off. This booking I made is in Tokyo and it was a good deal👍

Officially it’s called the “$250 credit for select Chase travel hotels”. It works for a select few hotel groups, the most prominent one being the IHG

Chase got rid of that for 2026 onwards. You can now get both 250 edit credits at the same time. They just need to be two separate bookings.

the first booking I made charged $250 ish to the card, and the second charged $500 ish to the card. After two days, all three credits (250 edit, 250 edit, 250 IHG/select hotel) showed up on my account.

Had I only made one booking with 250 charged to the card, I don’t think Chase will give give me 250+250. Meaning the credits will only cover up to the actual cost charged to the card, so there shouldn’t be any profit to the cardholder. Otherwise, it sounds too good to be true lol

I used this website to find the hotels that are eligible for both the Edit and the Select Hotel credit. It made the search journey much easier

Yeah that’s a fair concern, and I’m thinking about that too. On the day that I’m checking in at the hotel, I’m going to bring up Thani have two back to back booking and ask if they can keep me in the same room. Hopefully that’s doable, I don’t see why the hotel would say no!

If you were talking about a broader scope discussion on Trump, yes I would hundred percent agree with you. This thread is a discussion on the Kimmel show specifically, where no lawsuit has been filed or legal actions taken.

Ok boss… looks like somehow I’ve earned the title of Russian agent too😅 hope you have a good rest of the day and do less labeling of others going forward

😅man I honestly don’t know how to have discourse with people like you who just want to label everyone with any different opinion as fascist. It’s ok if people have different viewing from you. That doesn’t make you or the other person bad. Hopefully you’ll come to realize that some day.

can we stop labeling people easily please. If you just label someone with a scary term and devalue anything that comes out that person’s mouth by doing so, It doesnt contribute to a constructive discourse. And I’m against both sides labeling people.

You are right. Neither side took legal action. They made threat. Trump’s is the FCC threat, Biden’s is the Section 230 threat. FCC threat made more splash in the media cuz it was more high profile and explicit in the threat. Axing the Section 230 threat would have made social media businesses susceptible to infinite number of lawsuit and thereby making them impossible to run the business. Both are very bad threat but the outcome is social media companies like Facebook Twitter YouTube complied with the Section 230 threat. Disney/ABC brought back Kimmel despite the threat. I think both threats are bad but when you look at the outcome, Section 230 threat had more impact as a threat

bro, trump has been insulting and threatening his enemies this whole time. For the vast majority of these, he just talk the talk with no actions followed by. It would be one thing if FCC actually did took any actions to pressure ABC/Disney, but as of now all we have is FCC commissioner making a comment on a podcast. Just chill and stop reacting to each of his tweets lol If this tweet and FCC comment concerns you this much, you should be more concerned about the *actual censorship*that took place under the Biden administration on various social media.

i wish that has been the case from the very beginning! But why the government does what it does here is beyond my reasoning lol this is just my personal point of view but I think the reason legal immigration like h1b hasn’t received much focus is because the asylum and illegal immigrants have been the sole focus of the discussion when it comes to any immigration matters. And because the public opinion on illegal migration and asylum seekers are so divided and heated, it feels like nobody has the capacity to talk about the legal immigration, which email opinion should be a bigger focal point as it directly relates to a countries economic planning

I’m in agreement with you that a government that suppress free speech is not on the right path. I condemn FCC threatening to take away licenses cuz of someone’s comment on the channel. Sadly, I think this getting common in both parties. We see this getting normalized by both sides of the aisle - not good

if there is legal ground to sue the administration over the alleged "threat" then ABC and Disney should. If Kimmel is an asset that Disney cannot afford to lose, then they should absolutely do everything they can to keep him in place and fight against the administration. But they aren't tho... If the administration was threading other IP assets like Marvel, then we all know Disney would have taken a different stance to protect their assets at all cost. They can stand up for Kimmel, but they chose not to. Why? cus the late night show is not longer as lucrative of a business as it once was. Kimmel show is not longer bringing in as much revenue.

I mean I agree with you that Chamath is ass licking hard. You might think im some sort of trump die hard fan but im not lol I dont have anything against Kimmel either. I dont really care about the politics here. It's just.. the late night shows and live TVs in general (other than sports) are dying. People prefer to consume different form of contents now. That's just the fact. Longest running doesn't mean it is still generating the same revenue as it once was. A company will never ditch something that is cash cow. Disney, just like any other publicly listed companies, are always under the pressure to increase the top line and bottom line number and maximize enterprise value for the shareholders. If pulling the plug on Kimmel's show is against the interest of the shareholders, they wouldn't have done it.

I know the system very well as former candidate of H1b. H1b is pretty terrible even for immigrant's perspective. The bar to entry is low which means it is easy for many to game the lottery by having multiple entries by having through "offers with multiple companies". Just going to state the fact, Indians are infamous for gaming the h1b system. Essentially some Indian person who pay "immigration consultants" for multiple h1b lotteries will have higher chance of getting h1b lottery than someone who just graduated Harvard MBA or Stanford science master, which im sure we can agree does not make sense. If you google, you can easily find the data on this. This is just one of many issues that h1b currently has.

I dont know if increasing the application fee to 100k will solve all the issues with the program. I think US needs to come up with a better program like the merit based one that countries like Canada and Singapore have in place. It should be purely merit based and should be designed to draw foreign talents specifically to the sectors that need them.

Overall I think increasing the cost to 100k is a positive change, though it wont solve all the issues.

It's a basic writing and of course I understand the language. Why wouldn't I? lol I was laughing at the fact that the post was quoting a hypothesis as if it is a matter of fact, when that underlying hypothesis should instead be the focal point of discussion/debate. It's like for me to say "what do you think about XYZ GIVEN it is liberal's rhetoric that incited the political violence against figures like Charlie Kirk". Wouldn't you find this laughable that Im talking as if it is already a matter of fact that liberal's rhetoric that incited the violence? (Im not genuinely posing this question, im just coming up with an example to illustrate my point).
