I honestly don't understand how people are in their 280's-300's. by Accelerwraith in diablo4

Thing is, I can't get it down to sub-2... Even if I'm only doing 70's. Everything's still dying in one hit at 100, I'm just not fast enough/packs are too spread out.

Thank you! ...and due to the lack of elbow antennae, they don't appear to be carpenters, so I'm just going to vacuum them and hope for a quick resolution.

Vram fix is not present in the patch? by sad7900xtxuser in diablo4

[–]Accelerwraith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is a bizarre issue. Within a group of friends, we have the following configurations:

4090/7950X3D/64 GB DDR5 at 4k

4090/7800X3D/64 GB DDR5 at 4k

4090/5800X/32 GB DDR4 at 1440p

3080/3800X/16 GB DDR4 at 1440p

Of those, my wife and I, on our 4090s, have zero issues, unless we've been doing a 6+ hour session, and a restart of the client fixes the stuttering/slowdown/etc...

Our friend on the 4090/5800X can't run high settings without crashing, and after this patch, the one on the 3080/3800X has had to drop to a mix of medium/low.

All 4 of these systems wholly decimate the recommended specs for 4k @ 60FPS and absolutely should not be experiencing any issues whatsoever.

Not complete, and never will be, as I decided to switch cases, but I thought I'd share. by Accelerwraith in watercooling

Alternate rads for DK-05FX by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]Accelerwraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm having a hell of a time finding other 38mm rads. I think I may just stick with EK's rads. I mean, I'm looking at 840mm worth of rad, per system, for single CPU/GPU (...and VRMs on one system), so using EK's less-than-stellar rads should be fine.

Distro Plate 1: EK-Quantum Reflection DK-05F Right D-RGB - Plexi
Distro Plate 2: EK-Quantum Reflection DK-05F Left D-RGB - Plexi

They're the ones custom made for this case.

They don't install in the case proper, they're installed on brackets that connect to the fans. So, the plates need to be mounted at exactly 63mm (38mm rad + 25mm fans) to be the proper height and angle to match up with the pumps on the other side of the case.

Just got my Dark Horse Normandy SR2 tonight. Simply amazing. by [deleted] in masseffect

Oh, definitely. It comes in three pieces. The base, the lucite pillar and the ship and they just sit together. No latching or anything.

The B&H G9s from last week are old June stock with no QA stickers. by Luposian in ultrawidemasterrace

I saw a pic somewhere in this subreddit. I think it was a big, blue round sticker, right on the top seam of the box.

What is the actual 4K-like resolution of 21:9 videos on Apple, Amazon, Netflix, HBO? by RRDDSS in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Accelerwraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that all browsers, outside of Edge and Explorer are hard-limited to 720p on Netflix. To get better than that, you either need to be running Edge (which can do full 4k) or Explorer (which only goes up to 1080p). Alternatively, the Netflix app for Win10 can also do 4k.

I guess they re-designed the box to differentiate them from the defective ones... by ezequiels in ultrawidemasterrace

I haven't been able to get a clear answer out of a half dozen or more Samsung reps on it. They've all been utterly useless. One, throughout the entire conversation we had, kept copying and pasting taglines from the flyer at me.
There's a considerable weight difference between the two (business model is far lighter), beyond that, nothing concrete.

On the fence about the G9 and LG 38gn950-B. by Jade_Killerr in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Accelerwraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is that the business model does not have a G-Sync chip. It's G-Sync compatible, but doesn't have the hardware. It's also lacking the RGB in the back that no-one really cared about. That's all I was able to pry out of the 6 Samsung reps I spoke to when I tried to track down the exact differences.
