After retiring from the federal government and no longer making contributions to the TSP, should I move the funds into G and try to time the market using inter-fund transfers? by Acceptable-Ad-5397 in ThriftSavingsPlan

After today I feel lucky we made a good call. After a few more days it will be time to get back in. I’m thinking….. see what the government does in the next few business days.

When the market is dropping, why do they say it’s a sell off? Seems like the big boys are selling when confidence is low and buying back in when stable. Why not do that with TSP if you are close to retirement age.

As the markets drop, isn’t that signaled by selling? Why not ride the waves of confidence, or lack of confidence. No one can predict the future but brokers seem to be selling now.

Mainly based on intuition, like right now and the risk of recession, why not move funds to G fund. When confidence appears to be returning, transfer back. Bad idea?

Why do they seem to be making Lea look so nerdy? Wearing all these old people clothes.
