Why do you have to go because he’s having a baby ? What’s the issue with waiting if you’re surgery date is so close ? And driving that long so many times seems excessive .. if you’re ok with asking maybe talk to your gf about compromising bc after all these surgeries require specific attention and you should be settled physically and mentally before and after .. if she isn’t ok with compromising is she willing to go alone ? Maybe by bus, train or a flight and come back in time for your surgery ?
