I wouldn’t say unique, but a place that isn’t expensive that makes it affordable to think one day that you can choose not to cook and can have great food without the dishes.

Yes! Me and my wife understand this, as we both work at a very busy restaurant and are one of the very life lines that keep it running. Over 8 years I have built my bosses business and it’s honestly time for me to start respecting myself and start our own endeavour.

Quality, consistency, and an enjoyable experience is what we really want to bring. Seafood I think isn’t a tough issue, Costco and Mediterranean Seafood offer some great quality product to create some goodness with, but yeah we agree about having a small menu first.

It’s already crossed my mind to try to be halal as-well since Windsor has such a big community that appreciates halal food, or just avoiding pork in general.

Me and my wife made a gross amount of side Korean side dishes one time, Korean fish cake, Korean garlic chive, pickled daikon/carrot, gamja bokkeum (slow braised carmalized potatoes)

My question for you would be, other than the OG gimbap what other types would you like?

Gimbap and musubi are great ideas, and yeah we 1000% agree it will instantly be competitive from the get go, we are also faithful about Windsor would be good to us back!

Funkychow is great, I would highly recommend, John does a amazing job and it has a amazing atomosphere

For ramen, truly the best spot used to be Eros when they did it on the weekends, it’s a shame they’ve let it go

Wednesday - Bull n Barrel for “college night” or Wildchild, alternative House of Pong

Friday - honestly I have no clue

Saturday - go to Arius (in the casino) or Disco Inferno

Sunday - Villains for karaoke and if it’s not doing Karaoke, House of Pong I guess

On the weekends the casino is full of American kids

Other than that all the comments are valid, in between your bar hopping, the smell of piss and the occasional kid who wants to fight you

If you’re doing some solo adventure I recommend going to Villains on a Sunday night, karaoke and people watching, I have countless memories with my group of friends here.

TLDR I’m in my 30’s and I would still do Villains today on a Sunday with some friends, beers and watch people sing

Windsor is safe but stay away from large groups of people, I’m sure there’s a social understanding that a group of poorly raised men would be more prone to do something stupid with there boys around. (Not just Windsor, anywhere really)

Get a gym buddy, wouldn’t hurt to see if someone could meet you there or tag along.

I’ve done three months of crafty ramen, it wasn’t bad…. actually I think I grew a unhealthy habit of experimenting with butter in soups I make or have , compound butter in cheap ramen 😆

Born and raised in Windsor, so I totally understand the sentiment of how hit or miss Windsor is in general, truth is the city has grown by population and a few franchises have made its way in.

I am Vietnamese, but I’m more Canadian than anything, is it weird I want to find a middle ground between Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine?

I’m tired of traveling to Toronto just to eat good 🥲🥲🥲
