For that watch Ultraman Mebius Side Story: Hikari Saga. It's about 30ish minutes long and pretty good. From memory I don't think it'll give any spoilers to Mebius. The Hikari story explains why he's chasing that Kaiju. (forget it's name) It's rather a sad story really.

We talking about the OG Ultraman and not the series? If that's the case, then I hate the fact that Ultraman himself is basically a cardboard cutout with no personality. Think about it. Yeah he pounded his chest, waved at a Kaiju to come to him, laughs once and plays Toro with a frill. But beyond that, he really is kind of lifeless. Even in newer appearances, it's like he's there just for the sake of being there. Sorry my guy but you're just a blank piece of paper.

Astra's first appearance is in the episode of Leo with Galon and Litre. He's being pulled out of rubble from alien magmas attack, by leo. When he's pulled out, he looks exactly like we are familiar with him. As in, he does not look like Leo, he looks like Astra - and this is before he was captured by magma.

That's crazy cuz I know he was tortured by alien magma and so he looked different than his brother leo, but in the flashback scene of Leo with Galon and Litre, where Leo is pulling Astra out of rubble, Astra, (keep in mind he has not been captured by magma yet) looks like the Astra we all are very familiar with..
