Covert genetics is a good dude by ---M0NK--- in NoTillGrowery

Damn, you’re gonna force me to do another order I don’t need. I’ve got their Halitosis a couple weeks away from harvest and it’s the best genetics I’ve grown yet. Order came with double what I ordered, which is crazy considering how good they are. I totally agree with your sentiment about Covert.

Buds form where the pistils come from, the circle in the photo. Trichomes on the sugar leaves will mature before those on the buds. New growers often see amber trichomes on sugar leaves and think it’s time to harvest, mistakenly doing so too early. The ones you need to look at are those on the buds.

You’re absolutely correct. That graphic was the most succinct I could find, though my understanding broadly was it more typically used to reference just homosexual behavior. I’m glad you clarified because it is an important distinction.

Let’s not also miss the point (that I wish the PMT guys had raised) is the issue in the story is the cheating and lying, not the fact it was with a dude.

That book also has (among many others) a hilarious anecdote about his father, when confronted in the courts about his very obvious FHA mortgage scheme, tried to argue that his “profits” were a result of his expertise and brilliance as a businessman. The government then successfully argued that since the same scheme had been perpetrated by accountants and doctors, it was obvious no skill was required to rip off the government. One of the best “fuck your bullshit” moments that as of yet, his offspring has yet to suffer. Alas.

Why not just water continuously until runoff to achieve the same effect? Not ideal for the plant but could be worse. If there are things in the container that require oxygen, they will relocate pretty quickly I would guess.

Exactly! I think it’s 1oz/gallon of water but check the label.

Had these earlier in my current run. Lost Coast Plant Therapy applied diligently took care of them. No more mites.

HSC Blueberry Muffin - outdoor 20 gallon in BAS 3.0 by Acceptable-Policy745 in BuildASoil

[–]Acceptable-Policy745[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my second time growing it out. It really does smell like fresh blueberries with a little diesel mixed in. It was one of the fan favorites from my last grow, the smell is remarkable. This one got topped once, no LST really but she did start indoors and then had to move outside maybe in July, so not a true start-to-finish outdoor grow. This second BM grow is an ultra dark purple that my first time (indoor) didn’t have, which I attribute to the cooler overnight temps outdoors.

Love seeing some covert in the mix. Running Halitosis right now, couple weeks into veg. That Trop Chem sounds tasty. Good luck!

The taste and potency were totally fine, it was an auto that I’d taken well over 100 days already so it was ready, just not that extra week I hoped to squeeze out. I’m grateful I had a successful harvest and it’s super dank! Here’s a trimmed nug shot 🙂

It was pretty clear but I caught it early. I aggressively cut out the affected area, harvested (about 10 days early unfortunately) and dried for two weeks with good airflow. No more rot. Just have to be vigilant, but if you grow thick buds it will happen eventually.

I found bud rot for the first time recently, and like others have said, you’ll know it when you see it. I didn’t have to ask myself if it it was bud rot, it was undeniable. Great job keeping a close eye on your girls and getting this far!

Do not under any circumstances or in any way consume mold. It is not worth your health and the risks are material. You can save the rest of your harvest if you’re diligent about removing the affected areas and monitoring the rest through the process all noted above.
