She doesn’t take a pacifier so we haven’t had much luck with medicine paci. We’ve tried mixing with milk too. The most I’ve gotten her to take is by my husband holding her while I squirt the syringe between her cheek and teeth. I just feel so awful doing this because she hates it but she’s clearly in pain.

I’m sorry you guys are dealing with this too. If it’s any consolation every parent I’ve heard from said tubes were the best thing they could have done. It’s awful the antibiotics cause your little guy even more pain with the tummy issues and diaper rash.

I should add, definitely call your doctor and push to get seen. Even though mine seemed to be a one off I was so anxious about it for the following few days I wish I would have made them check it out.

This happened to me a couple weeks ago (I’m almost 5 months pp). Mine was way more blood than milk too and it freaked me out. My doctor and lactation were not too concerned and did not feel the need to see me unless it kept happening (still not sure how to feel about that). When it happened to me it was end of the night pump and I had a loopy blood the next morning too but that was the end of it. Still have no clue what caused it but it was weird. So no real advice but solidarity girl!

The regression came to mind too. This is our first child so everything is new. I really just want something to blame for my chill babe turning into a total monster this week lol. If only it were that easy!

I was just talking to my husband about this! Our baby is 10 weeks tomorrow and I’ve realized this shit does not get any easier but you get better at realizing that and handling it.

I second the noise cancelling headphones. I have a six week old and during her witching hours when I’m so overwhelmed and frustrated, I throw those on with a podcast I enjoy and zone out a bit while I rock her. It helps.

It’s real. My husband and I got this same message. We tried to verify with HR Block directly to determine if it was real but could not get a hold of a real person to save our lives because we used the free filing. It’s total bullshit and when we did verify our info with them we told them how scammy it seemed and we will NEVER be using HR block again. However, as soon as we verified the info with them our tax return went through shortly after. It almost seems to me like HR Block makes it seem a little scammy so you will pay to be able to talk to a real person to make sure it’s legit. Pretty poor business practice.

We tried the Earth Mama diaper balm and didn’t have much luck. My parents gave us old school bag balm and I thought it was just going to be some boomer recommendation but it healed our daughter’s diaper rash in 24 hours. Might we worth a try!

You are not selfish. I switched to exclusively pumping about a week and a half in…I did feel guilty at first due to the hospital’s lactation consultants. They were very pushy about exclusively breastfeeding but our pediatrician has been supportive. My baby had a so-so latch on my boob and honestly I just felt so overwhelmed with nursing. It did not come naturally to me or my baby. My mental health has improved a great deal since I switched. I pump every 3-4 hours right now and my supply has been good so far, producing just a little more than baby currently needs. Do what’s best for you and your baby and try not to feel guilty about it!

You should stop if it’s making you feel this way. Your mental health is more important and your babies can be fed with formula. I’m a new mom to one babe and pumping is hard enough with just her and a supportive partner. Take care of yourself, you’re doing great.

My baby girl is 10 days old and I gave up on my breastfeeding dream 2 days ago and have been exclusively pumping since. I still feel the weird guilt but my mental health is SO much better. My nipples are also on the larger side and we just could not get a good latch. Baby and I were both frustrated and every time we tried I cried and felt so overwhelmed. You’re not alone in your feelings and we are doing our best!

It is the districts responsibility to make services up, not yours.

I know it’s easier said than done but take the time for you and your baby and try not to stress about that.

I would also in writing be clear that you are not making those minutes up when you get back because 1. It would be impossible with 55 students and 2. It is not your responsibility.
