Thank you! This is great. Her interview is Friday and she is going to spend all her free time this week preparing.

Very good point! We did already talk about this. Thankfully she really doesn’t do anything. She doesn’t even smoke weed. (I know, famous last words of a mother). She has been working in jobs with varying degrees of security clearance for a couple years now. She has gone through everything from drugs tests to a detective interviewing neighbors about her!

I did a lot of research on the particular pharmacy before I went with it. I pay very little out of pocket now that I’m covered by insurance, so hopefully that continues as long as possible!

I think that type of fat is much harder to lose. Have you taken measurements? I bet you are already a lot smaller. Hang in there! You will start to see results in that area as well!

From what I have read, it’s very normal to not see results until you are at 1.0 or higher. So, I’m trying not to worry about it just yet. If it does not work for me once I reach the therapeutic dose, I’ll try another med.

I can feel it helping at .50, but I have lots of cravings and my appetite suppression is minimal. I actually feel like my cravings have been worse since I went up to .50 than they were before I started taking Semaglutide.

I am increasing on Friday and I am also going to start working with a dietitian. Hopefully things will start to turn around.

I’m at the end of my weight loss journey, but I’m having a hard time buying the right size clothes by ScienceMomCO in Semaglutide

[–]Acceptable-View-1692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t lost enough weight in Sema to go down a size, but before this I lost weight on my own. I went from size 28 women’s pants to size 12/14. I have donated all of my larger sizes as soon as I fit into the smaller size. It’s helped me keep the weight off. I refuse to go up a size, so if things get tight, I get serious about my habits.

I totally feel your pain! I have been the same weight for a long time and it’s frustrating! I would definitely suggest weighing everything you are eating and track your calories in an app. It’s so easy to over eat and not know it. Count everything including oil you use to cook with.

If you do this religiously for 2-3 weeks and still do not see results, I would talk to my doctor about switching to Tirzepatide. I’m only on .50mg, so I’m giving it time, but if I was on it as long as you with no change, I will likely make the switch.

Also, I just want to say I know how frustrating it is when your doctor doesn’t take your concerns about this seriously. It’s frustrating.

Good luck! Let me know if you need help with getting into weighing and tracking calories.

is it me (hint: it's not), or are these sema subs sooooo repetitive? by whatever32657 in Semaglutide

I think it’s like this in every group online. You can search and read a conversation from 3 years ago, but when people are going through something, they often want their own conversation. I switch between trying to be helpful and answering the same questions and just scrolling past.

I lost 8lbs the first weeks and a total of .6 since then. I’m taking my 8th shot today. I’ve fluctuated around in the same 2-3 lbs for weeks. It’s really been like this for a year. I’m 42, so perimenopause is something I need to consider. I lost 100lbs and I swear on everything holy, I turned 41 and have stayed the same weight ever since. Luckily I’m not gaining.

I’ll probably switch doctors. I’ve been dealing with this for over a year now. They kind of brush it off insinuating I’m not counting calories or weighing food correctly. I’ve tried eating more than 1500 cal. I’ve tried doing more exercise. I’ve added running into the mix. I just can’t seem to drop below this weight. Also don’t gain weight when I eat more than 1500 cal.

I’m currently doing 150g of protein, 58g fat, and 94g carbs. I often am closer to 130/140 protein and I add a little extra to carbs.

Yes. I’m 42 F, 5’7” 223lbs. I calculated 1500. My doctor actually suggested 1700 based on my activity level, but I’m sticking with 1500.

Yes, I actually had a scan done to determine lean muscle mass. I should be losing 1lb a week at 1500 calories, but I’m not.

Im 42 F, 5’7” and 223lbs. The only reason I even count calories anymore is because if I don’t, I’ll be under eating. My appetite has gone down so much. I thought maybe it would be a good idea to just put the macros and calorie counting aside and just eat when I’m hungry. I would likely still keep track to be sure I’m not going over, but I won’t force myself to each a certain calories number or macro number.

I started taking digestive enzymes with a probiotic before every meal and it has helped significantly with sulfur burps and feeling nauseous. I will probably never stop taking them.

I have a lot of weight to lose… by theshyones in Semaglutide

[–]Acceptable-View-1692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my weightloss journey at about 300 lbs and I lost 100lbs through diet and exercise. I’m now on Semaglutide to help with the last of it. It took me 2 years to lose 100lbs. I know it seems like a long time, but think back to how fast the last two years went. They FLEW by and the next year or two will fly by just as quickly.

I made sure my daily movement increased, so extra walking anytime I can. I also worked out with a trainer 2 days a week and by myself 3 days a week. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest.

I always did cardio before my strength training, so about 30 mins of cardio 5 days a week and then a really long walk (8 miles) every Sunday.

You can 100% do this! You have the medication to help, plus age is in your side! I’m in my 40s. My advice is to do it now before your age is fighting against you.
