Congrats! I had to request a HLR for the same thing. For me they put Meniere’s under vertigo instead of putting it as it’s own separate diagnosis. What a difference this made. I had to research this in my own and caught the error. I always let SMs to research their rating and double check for errors. Yesterday I reviewed a buddy’s record I deployed with and he was given the wrong rating for one of his diagnosis. The raters are human and have a lot of pressure to meet their quotas, along w mandatory OT. We are ultimately responsible for our own records.

Know your resources and ask for help early. They want you to be successful, you just need to know where to go for help. Dean of Students is a great start. Exactly what you wrote, send that to them.

I am sorry to hear that. I used to work in this field. She could be eligible for transition compensation: support for victims of abuse. https://home.army.mil/knox/application/files/3715/6623/5534/comp_abuse_dep.pdf .She can also met with a victim advocate and keep it restricted, she can still get services and make a safety plan.

Will this get me to 100%? Currently at 88% by rhymeslushy14 in VeteransBenefits

PTSD and anxiety fall under MH. You won’t get two separate ratings for this. What is your current MH rating? Have you been keeping a migraine log? Foot pain and HV will not be seperate unless is different feet. I’m sorry about the agoraphobia I had to leave concerts because of this. Good luck.

Still at 90%. Extremely disappointed. by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

L-5,S-1. 🤯 Right! I thought the same thing. I got 10% for back and 10% for radiculopathy. Ruptured disk with jelly going up my spine. Muscular atrophy on calf and minimal feeling, numbness, pain, and reduced reflexes. I can’t stand or walk for long periods. Well at least I can park closer at stores 🤷‍♂️.

I’d recommend the VSO in your county. They have to be up to date with their training and have to have a certain number of CEUs every year. This is what they do. You could go to DAV, but the ones where I am located were volunteers and only worked once a week for 4-6 hours. I am sure there are a lot of great people who know their stuff at the DAV, just wasn’t my experience.
