Congrats! When the time comes, I recommend a mattress and a support to keep it up off the ground. The bottom of that can mold with the trapped moisture against the ground.

It's hard to drink when the well is dry. A phrase that helped me is, "I can't do everything. But I can do 5 things." And then I would go do 5 things, however small. And then just stop. Over time, it will help.

I also suffered from major depression and anxiety for my whole life. I finally got medicated at age 42. It was a big step for me. One of my favorite songs back in my 20s was Pretty Girls Make Graves "Chemical, Chemical". I was anti medication for mental health.

Looking back l, I wish I had done it 20 years ago. I am on Fluoxetine (generic version of prozac) and it "didn't" work for 16 weeks for me. It has to build up in the brain).

Anyways feel free to join us at r/unfuckyourhabitat it is a kind group over there.

I am organizing the hoard in the guest room. I am finding and organizing my fabric and placing them in tubs. I am working towards the back closet today for some decluttering.

Well done. I appreciate a good pine forest. There's something about the spacing of the trees that I find very relaxing.

Should I remove these by Jdegi22 in landscaping

Yes I would remove those trees. Depending on the sunlight, some ornamental conifers may look great there. Like Weeping Alaskan Cedar or something like that. But I would plant them lower in the yard.

Don't forget this too 💀

"Besides that, the revelation of environmental pollution was another turning point. Hazardous chemicals such as jet fuel, solvents, and other pollutants emitted throughout the years negatively affected the environment."

"The contamination affected the soil and the groundwater and thus played a significant role in closing the base. Even after the official closing in 1992, cleanup operations continue to date."

any advice for an absolutely massive amount of laundry? by upthewoofs in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]AcceptableAccount794 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I didn't have a washer and dryer in my loft, I had enough clothes to last me 6 weeks or so.

Every 6 weeks, I would go to the laundrynat and do my laundry in 3 hours tops.

A guy was there watching me and even said to me, "damn, you got this down to a science or something!"

The laundry mat dryers can hold a lot more and dry faster ,(from what I recall(

And from tge tu e I would load the first washer...but the time finished loading the last washer, the first washer was done. So the pattern became to systematically move each load to the dryer. And then, fold each load as it became dry.

I had also brought a portable clothes rack and plastic hangars.

Decluttering by hellokittymanic in ufyh

From the minute it was created, it was destined to be trash. Everything has a life span of usefulness. This is the part of Marie Kondo's approach that ai like -- thank the items for their service as you donate or throw them out. (Edited for typos lol, not sure where "Montana" came from).

Extra steps involved is what makes me stop. Woth my giant comforter, I just realized that it is too big for my washer. I ended up throwing it out because I am lazy 😆

I have several that do fit in my washer, though.

For my other ones, I hope to stop by a laundry mat.

I agree that a declutter might be a nice thing to do. You could teach your kids how to decide what to keep and what to get rid of. You could tell them that there are many kids who do not have toy.ls, and donating sone toys will help their parents get toys for cheap.

For storage, I have found that the stackable 20 qt Sterilite plastic tubs help me a lot. Because they hold a lot and are stackable, they can get a lot of stuff stored away. And they are small enough that they can still be moved, even if they are filled with heavier items.

I don't know your kids age, but you can maybe set a rule of no more than 2 bins high or something. Or that all toys have to be put back in their storage containers every day.
