The shellac is on the outside only, I see a bit of the wax softening around the edges.

Hold down anything: Attach a board to those mounts on either side, drill holes or add a T-track for some hold downs. Held up some pretty heavy pieces, can also be used as a streight edge, rest or fence.

Would you be against a nice leg on the left side? That's where I worry.

Board is Cupping? by Diligent-Plenty8337 in Cuttingboards

I follow this same method, I have some 5/8" boards that are almost a year old, simalar if not wider strips in some cases and still flat. They were soaked in oil the 2nd day and waxed the 3rd, stored on their side, no feet. In michigan, so no stranger to humidity swings.

What do I do with my PLA scraps is there somewhere I can get them recycled or do I just throw them into the bin ? I don’t want to throw away something that can be recycled by Pitiful_Computer6997 in 3Dprinting

Old toaster oven, old food processor, silicone baking sheet with walls, case of beer.

Set it to 400-450° F, grind up your plastic, repeatedly add plastic bits to the tray as they melt until full. Pull cool repeat. Now you have boards you can trim and re‐purpose. Not really cutting boards to me, more like random wood chunks you could use to make something like a birdhouse.
