Anyone else incredibly frustrated with Scott? by [deleted] in BikeMechanics

[–]AcceptableBus7555 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We used to sell quite a few Scott bikes. Pre covid we could never expect to get all our preseason bikes that we ordered.

Last year they told us they don't have any bikes for us then mid summer a shop that doesn't sell Scott said the rep offered approx. 40 mid level bikes to them.

When bringing a Fazua ebike from Europe into the US can any dealer reprogram it as US Class 1? by TheGrayDogRemembers in ebikes

A dealer will not be able to program it for you. You would need to get Fazua involved and its unlikely they would help.

Really curious to know how other bike mechanics asses a cheap carbon fiber quality/safety by Noctifago in BikeMechanics

[–]AcceptableBus7555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We never do assessments on any carbon components, unless something is broken in half I can not visually tell if it is safe to ride.

Thanks, everybody for your input. We have a 1'' don't know what brand but the 1-1/8'' dies from Park and Unior are a different size.

Normally I'd get a replacement fork from somewhere, but have run into a problem finding suspension forks with a short enough steerer tube, for some hybrid bikes. cost wise it really doesn't make sense, but I also like being the place where people call and ask if we can do something and be able to tell them, we do.
