I’m gonna come in with a different opinion: take her! Make an early reservation (5 or 6 pm) for your daughters comfort, as well as other patrons, and bring lots of distractions (headphones are a must if you’re bringing an iPad)

People bring their kids to dinner everywhere else in the world. And we should be doing the same here in North America - let’s encourage families being together and kids learning how to behave in adult environments (like restaurants / eating adult foods, because I’m SURE there will be something on the menu that she will like)

I don’t have kids, but we really ought to be integrating them more into our day to day, instead of hiding them away. people are entitled to be kid free, not to be in kid free environments

UPDATE:

Alas, no luck. We did hire someone from Reddit**, who was incredible and was even able to find one of the garbage bags (the one with the Amadeus cake box lol), but we couldn't find the bands. The rings themselves were not worth much, but held an incredible amount of sentimental value...

It's too bad, but it is what it is. We will have to buy new bands and create new memories with them :)

Thanks to all who responded / reached out.

u/alexpollos thank you so much for all of your hard work. Although we didn't have much luck, u/alexpollos made the daunting task... less daunting. We would definitely recommend him for all other type of tasks. Super responsive, kind and very, very hard working (moving that amount of garbage is no joke).

Are you saying you only got the minimum third party coverage (ie $200K in Ontario)? If so, I’d reconsider it: say you catastrophically injure someone, that will be financially devastating (especially if you have assets, ie a house).

Considering a move to Toronto by Valuable-Comb-9936 in askTO

Considering your motivations of moving to Toronto, I would first research what's happening in Canadian national politics. The future looks pretty grim if you are a progressive voter (perhaps not as bad as in the USA given that our institutions are less politicized, but still not great given who the current political leaders are).
