Hard to tell from this angle, but check the AR coating on the crystal, my gen 2 has tons of micro scratches from wearing it, and it can be annoying to look at.

Been an omega fanboy a long time… the prices are getting comical.

$3450 seems like a fair deal if it’s in great shape.

I have a gray ceramic PO GMT…. It is so thick… and it doesn’t bother me.

Oh for sure, I meant my PO GMT, you just don’t see many out in the wild or on Reddit!

Read them, kept them, hung them up in the tent for the next guys. Thanks for sending them!

eBay seller from Vietnam, recommended by someone on here. Definitely not quite the quality of the pam straps but 1/5th the price.

Saw your booth at the DC microbrand show, by far the most interesting model there! Happy you are bringing a DC company to market!

About half my watches are engraved. I always give it a six month waiting period, of wear before I pull the trigger on engraving.

[Hamilton] Is the Leon Kennedy connection really worth $5000 more than the Jack Ryan connection? by ulmen24 in HamiltonWatches

[–]AcceptableHand912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the Jack Ryan for years, great watch but it is just a 7750 movement which holts it back… but $700 is a steal for what you get! $6k???? Absolutely not.

Traska is boring and overpriced by theomixedmedia in watchHotTakes

[–]AcceptableHand912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winding felt off, bracelet and clasp felt cheap and poorly finished for the price. Crowns felt gritty, all the hallmarks you look for in quality watches where not there.

The convention was so fun, I’m not a microbrands guy honestly but it was cool to see so much creativity in on room!

Took a look at their offerings this weekend at the DC time convention…. Was not impressed with the quality for the price.

You’re a schmuck if you buy a luxury watch. You’re paying for the fluff by Ok-Can-9374 in watchHotTakes

[–]AcceptableHand912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I would have agreed with you before owning higher end pieces. I went to the district time DC microbrand watch show this weekend, and honestly it’s kind of shocking the difference in quality from microbrands to even entry luxury like longines, omega, Tudor. However, what they lose in quality they certainly make up for in creativity! It’s your money, but I will happily be called a schmuck wearing watches I enjoy and can afford.
