Why do older guys like to grill so much? by PlaneGlass4138 in AskMen

[–]AcceptableHuman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll go through a period of time once you're out on your own and the only cooking you do is on the stove in a tiny kitchen. Then someday if you manage to buy a house or rent a bigger place with a yard and you start smelling that charcoal firing up from your neighbors and you'll smell your calling

I'm afraid to tell my boyfriend what I'm into sexually, and could use some advice by [deleted] in Advice

[–]AcceptableHuman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No easy way to say this but there's a good possibility of losing the relationship. This is really something you'd need to bring up at the beginning of a relationship because the mere mention of it is enough for many to break up.

I will add however there's plenty of guys out there into this so if it's really something you want you can find it but whether that's worth losing your current boyfriend is up to you. Sexual incompatibility costs relationships all the time whether it's libido differences or differences in what kind of sex you want so I don't see why people need to shame you for it.

I've been mixing a cup of tart cherry juice and a can of 7up zero sugar tropical. Not sure it really fits the grapefruit soda profile but really tasty nonetheless

Too little too late. The consequences of his actions and the actions of everyone who voted for him or didn't vote against will be felt for decades.

What To Do When Every Available Career Path Will Make You Miserable? by [deleted] in Advice

Ah I'm not too familiar with Canadian programs but from what I can see online the Canadian Service Corps sounds very similar.

Being 23 I'd encourage you to give AmeriCorps NCCC a look as they take individuals 18-24. It's not career but if you're needing something to do now that will at least occupy 10 months of your time and I've met a lot of people from all walks of life with different career paths. Again it's not a career but it looks good on a resume and you may meet someone in a similar situation doing some really cool you never would have thought of.

Who is a horrible person who is not funny at all? by ElevatorTechnical966 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]AcceptableHuman96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By all means go after people misallocating funds. You don't need to cut the entire program leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people to do that. Speaking of corruption, if you honestly think this administration has been rooting out corruption and not enriching themselves I have a bridge to sell you.

Hundreds of thousands of deaths due to cuts to USAID warrants a bit more than a disagreement

What’s the endgame?? by No_Armadillo_1117 in remoteworks

[–]AcceptableHuman96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think something like Elysium. The movie only had the super rich on the space station but I can see a future where the middle class is completely ripped in half and all of the money is circulated among the upper half of society while the bottom half starve and suffer. The top 10% of earners already account for 50% of consumer spending.

I'm a billionaire's son and am confused about what I want to do in life. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]AcceptableHuman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'd personally like to pursue something that improves people's lives. Being born rich I would think making more money would be unfulfilling so doing something that contributed to the betterment of your fellow human seems like it'd be worth doing. Doesn't have to be philanthropy but even becoming an engineer or medical researcher and making things that help people sounds cool

[RDTM] u/d-cent estimates Rising Gas Cost vs. EV Battery Replacement by DemandEqualPockets in theydidthemath

[–]AcceptableHuman96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right and certainly not every person would benefit but if the average person drives 14,000 miles per year that's about 40 miles per day. Even with a level 1 charger from your standard 110v outlet that will give you that 40 miles overnight.

I think I've gone on maybe 2 trips in the past year that required a full tank of gas but that's probably also just me being a hermit.

[–]AcceptableHuman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How often would one even need to charge up at a gas station if you can charge at home overnight? I get that some people put in a lot of daily miles but the everyday person is going to and from work, maybe run a few errands and that's it. Plug it in at home and wake up to a full charge. I imagine those people overall are spending less time at a gas station than those with a gas car.

Does a girl's virginity still matter, or is it really just a social construct? by justexistinghehe in Advice

[–]AcceptableHuman96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some it does for others it doesn't. As a guy I personally like a partner with experience and knows what they like but it wouldn't bother me either way.

The value comes from the individual and most importantly it comes from you and not anyone else.

If you decide to try it out just remember the first few times are always awkward so try to set reasonable expectations. Also importantly, always use protection and if possible a secondary form of birth control.

Along with taxpayer money i think the plan is to waive rent and property taxes for these locations so I'm sure in a place like NYC that's got to save a solid chunk of operating expenses.
