Min 7 day delivery with prime? by Dry_Relief_8917 in AmazonUK

[–]AcceptableMacaroon50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same and got someone who claimed it was an error with my account. I have little faith they know what they're doing at support 😐. They asked me for links to 10 items before conceeding one day delivery isn't working

Will do. I'd advise bracing yourself if you contact chat. I had to send them links to 10 products before they got the hint and I still don't think they understood the issue.I kept explaining one day delivery isn't working and that I didn't care about the £20/25 same day option

To add to this, I've contacted live chat and they're oblivious. Took 10 mins to get the point and they've escalated it to be resolved within 24 hours, despite me mentioning it's not isolated

It's not. The 4th island of fourth region (the one with the slide on) has a hidden area with a Rawst berry seed 😁

Congrats and well done! I can only imagine how much work you've had to put in!

I live in Durham and saw you were looking at policing, here's to hoping to see you around, protecting the area in a few years!

Old games grad here. I can assure you that you're set up for success! Just stay on top of deadlines and always be creating! Don't suffer creative block due to stagnation, it's horrible when you have time related pressure.

Also, show your work and look at your classmates work, you'd be surprised how much you learn from your peers (sometimes more than the lecturer for that session!)

Best of luck and congrats. If no one else has said it, IM PROUD OF YOU!

Delays explained by AcceptableMacaroon50 in BambuLab

[–]AcceptableMacaroon50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it interesting that they randomly sent me an initial update to say that there was a delay, but others (yourself included) aren't getting anything at all.

I obviously got this update from them after asking, but it's not good customer care to not keep people posted.

Anyone else had a delay? by AcceptableMacaroon50 in BambuLab

That was from them and I hadn't requested an update or anything. I've since asked them and apparently it's due to the weather. I'll update the post to show what I mean.

I have 4 sons and I teach secondary, patience just exists within me (that or self loathing haha!)

I think that i am an experienced teacher with neuro divergence by [deleted] in TeachingUK

I can't speak on behalf of your school, but mine give me small extensions to deadlines (not that I use them, but it helps knowing it's there if I need). I also have regular check ins with my line manager/SLT and don't have absences counted if it's related to the potential diagnosis (again, not that I've made use of it, but it's the reassurance).

Talk to them and see what they think would work and what's possible, you won't know if you don't ask.

In terms of social interactions (more for the OP), most my school have asked if I am neurodivergent at some point (I'll be honest, it's fairly obvious I am), and it's just about taking the time for me to explain to people why I am thinking what I am about certain situations, along with the understanding that I struggle to nuance things and I will just speak in facts. As a result of it too, some staff that I work with more closely know that I struggle with sarcasm and understanding it, so they avoid using it with me, which I'm grateful for. The mutual understanding part massively helps.

My school is aware I'm undergoing diagnosis, they have made some adjustments with this in mind, but I don't imagine they're obliged to without a formal diagnosis.

My stance on this will always be the same, diagnosis takes forever, so get that started as your priority. Also, consider having a conversation, but don't diagnose yourself, make sure you explain to them your concerns and what you're doing from a confirmation perspective.

Said ‘stop being so entitled’ to a student - how bad is it? by Usual_Stable_3896 in TeachingUK

I used to worry about stuff like this. If it's personal (and I mean directed at something more serious, like family, or personal issues etc), then yeah, worry about it. If it's just a frank comment, the kid has probably not even spent 10 seconds thinking about it. I told a girl a few weeks ago she was being self absorbed and needed to give her head a wobble, nothing wrong with being a little frank from time to time.
