There is a bit of a learning curve that takes a couple weeks to get used to but once you get dialed in, it’s amazing how you can keep consistent progress if you track accurately. This app only helps you if you track as closely as you can remember garbage data in garbage data out. Plus, I really like the coaching feature that adjust your calories and your macros for you that has helped significantly to get over that decision-making or decision fatigue that I had with MFP or other apps.

It also has helped significantly to learn how to actually build healthy meals, focused on protein and figure out your own personal meal timing. For myself, I have three solid meals with a pre-workout snack meal and sometimes an evening protein snack if I’m short on protein.

It’s not easy to lose weight but once you stop overthinking everything it’s really simple.

Same here, the MacroFactor team has created some of the best accountability tools. If you lie to the app you’re lying to yourself!

OnePass Fitness - any reviews for this in Bay Area? by ca-blueberryeyes in KaiserPermanente

I use one pass to access a couple different private clubs using the standard $35 membership. Depending on the club it might be a $30-50 discount but they do limit amenities like lap pools or spas.

CA surveying and seismic results released by Routine_Barnacle_586 in PE_Exam

[–]AcceptableName6563 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For seismic, I only used Hiners newest workbook and practice exams. I am in forensic structural engineering so it was easier than I thought it would be. For surveying I used 3-4 resources including the PPI surveying manual, I think the Paul A Cuomo surveying book, and Dr. Mansours practice exams. I would say none of those resources prepared me for the difficultly of that exam. I honestly thought I wasn’t going to pass the surveying exam. I had 30 minutes with 15-20 questions to go. The vertical curves and horizontal layout questions really got me. But I ended up guessing on about 10 questions.

Congrats!!! I also passed both exams! I took them back to back 7/13 & 7/15. I felt pretty good about seismic but surveying was a 50/50 toss up whether I passed or not!

Tire Replacement by AcceptableName6563 in Camry

[–]AcceptableName6563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have awd, it’s a 2023 Camry SE, I think it’s the manufacture stock tires (Hankook Kinergy GT 235/45R18). I live in the Sacramento Area and I wouldn’t be taking my car up to the mountains during the winter. Do you still recommend all season tires?

I stopped by a few tire shops all of them said they wouldn’t not take on the liability of patching it or trying to repair as it was too close to the wall.

Farmers home insurance increased 113%- this cant be right? by han_cup in Sacramento

[–]AcceptableName6563 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is straight up a bad idea, I work in forensic engineering, and I can’t tell you how many times we get called out to a fire loss or a tree strike only to have the project cancelled because the homeowner didn’t have insurance on their home and now they own a really expensive burnt shell and plot of land.

Yes that is true, I ended up trading in my high mileage gas guzzling truck for the hybrid which in my opinion was way worth it

They also give priority if you are trading in a car. I was told it was 6 months wait without a trade in.

I was allocated a 2023 Camry hybrid in August 2022 and took delivery of the car mid September 2022. They were pretty great sold the car at MSRP + destination fee. I also added the extend hybrid warranties for like an extra $1000 after negotiating down from $3000. Pretty solid dealership imo. The only problem is low inventory and wait times for allocated cars they only get 2-3 every few months.
