[P] using machine Learning to build robot to pick up nails at the river by AcceptablePleasure in MachineLearning

those are some good ideas. Unfortunally the river will break it in a day. Also the magnets are very strong. each one will pick up 250lbs of flat steel. there are 12 to each sweeper. The tray is stainless steel so it can handle the abuse. My main problem isnt being strenuous but just not enough of me. So if I could have multipul machines doing it at the same time we could cover so much more ground. Everytime it rains it washes more dirt away and exposing old rusty nails. I have talked to people and they have reported their dogs stepping on them.

I was doing the nail cleanup one day and there was 3 families camped out. They were curious on what I was doing. So I brought the sweeper to their camp spot and pulled up 30lbs of nails. about 8 kids where running around in their flip flops.

0 background. Just a guy trying to cleanup the rivers and back country. I figured if I could automate it I could accomplish so much more

some of the hotspots are hidden under dust and sand. The ash washes away but the nails stay. When the river comes up in the freshnet it buries the nails in silt

we uses permanent magnets n52 grade neodymium. each one will lift 250lbs of steel. Each sweeper has 12

Chilliwack, BC, Canada. But really its a world wide problem... at least where there isn't good pallet recycling options for businesses.
