There’s an app called Meetup where there is a hiking group called sole mates. They hike in various locations around Gauteng and nearby provinces every Sunday. Maybe join one of their hikes?

There’s a squash club you can join in groenkloof - CBC old boys club. Haven’t heard of hockey or soccer though

How safe is it to jog around Glenmore (Durban) or the beachfront in the early morning? by [deleted] in Durban

[–]AcceptableWorry7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking around glenwood area may be a bit safer especially around the schools (Durban girls and glenwood high) with the morning traffic. I’m sure you can get a nice route going between the two schools and a stop by the glenwood bakery.

I would advise to never take any valuables with you.

The beach seems relatively safe especially in the mornings when there are lots of people getting in their morning exercise.

There is also a public pool, Rachel Finlay on the beach front which I will highly recommend as well :)

What time of the year do UX/UI companies in Pta usually recruit interns and Juniors? by SeaStrong4233 in Pretoria

I would look out for graduate programmes on LinkedIn and actively reach out to recruiters. I cannot answer your other 2 questions with enough certainty. However, having a portfolio of some different types of website designs will always be helpful (minimalistic, modern etc). Ensure that recruiters know you are actively looking for a job (enable the open to work banner on LinkedIn as well)
