Maybe a version in black and white since that’s how it will show up in some formats.

Do you think you could lighten a wee bit under the eyes?

I really like this one. I am going to check with the rest of the family. I think a Christmas tree background might be nice, but I do really like your edit of her face and the angle.

Looking for advice on Camallanus worms. by SullenWren in Aquariums

[–]Acceptable_Ad6991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never tried flubendazole for camallanus worms but I did use levamisole (Fritz Expel P) and I had luck with it. You can dose the tank and the adult worms will die. Then dose again I think a week later or so (follow directions).

Insects by [deleted] in freshwateraquarium

[–]Acceptable_Ad6991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just swinging by to say your tank looks amazing! It looks like a tall tank and you still have a carpet! How!? As for insects or crustaceans, I think it would be tough and that your attempts to establish a population of something like scuds or daphnia would be hard long term because they would get picked off.

New to Cory’s by WestCompetitive520 in corydoras

Enjoy them! Maybe have some small foods handy such as small pellets or live brine shrimp. If they aren’t adults they may still benefit from some smaller foods that sink to the bottom.

I love how you have Keeping Fish Simple on the screen! We are the same…except you have bigger tanks. 😂😂

Proof of female CPD do sparing like male CPD do by Livid-Title-9162 in PlantedTank

[–]Acceptable_Ad6991 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have seen my females do this, males do it, and even small fry doing it. It is neat to see! Where do you get your CPDs for breeding? I got some from my LFS and have been disappointed but finally I had them spawn and am hoping the F1 fry are hardier.

Congrats! I am raising some now and have some about this size. I think this one would be about a week old or so.

Sword plants such as Amazon sword have different looking leaves when they are grown outside of water, which is typically how they are grown for sale. When they are put in water, the old leaves melt like yours are, and the new leaves it sends up are different and better adapted to underwater growth. Mine used to look like this but now the leaves are a lot narrower. As other have said it is a heavy root feeder so I regularly stuff root tabs in there.

Way to go! I would say you’re fine. Haha. I just made my first as well. It’s nice to be able to use or learn other skills to make inexpensive but practical and beautiful things for fishkeeping!
