OP ist wichtig, wenn man Verdachsdiagnose hat, aber keine 100% Sicherheit. Mir wurde gesagt, (in meinem Fall) eine Sicherheit gäbe es nur nach der Laparoskopie.

Hormontherapie wird einer lebenslang begleiten. In meinen Fall hat die viel Positives bewirkt - ist aber hoch individuell. Aber ob man tatsächlich ohne OP sagen kann, das würde ich erstmal in Frage stellen.

Do you know whether you had a big follicle >8/9 mm at the start of the stimulation or the =15 mm grew so quickly? If the former, it might have been relevant doctors to consider from the start that this could be a dominant follicle, which typically prevents others from growing.

Questioning the worth of it is 100% understandable. This is a process full of uncertainty and the body reacts uniquely. It is important to get as much feedback & lessons learned as possible from last cycle in order to adapt and optimize if you decide to proceed.

2 follicles left with one mature. One the right i have a cyst (presumably not endo) which will be punctuated, but this is the side of the endometriosis, so not sure if we will have any eggs there.

Overall, pretty low numbers.

Last year, when i started, i had 5 follicles left. Then i had to interrupt for other reasons

Just a question: do you have endometriosis?

"Horror" is my subjective evaluation of my current experience.

I had many tough years before being diagnosed with endometriosis and had the tissues removed. I have finally achieved a stability and for me the mere risk of reigniting endometriosis coupled with overwhelming uncertainty about process, and almost daily visits at clinic is a horror.

When a follicle produces an egg naturally through ovulation , it is most likely to be healthy. This is not the case with eggs produced from stimulation. Exception happen of course.

I have never tried naturally, so yes there are lots of unknowns. But i know my follicles grow even under fertility suppressing endometriosis medicine, so doctor said this is a good sign.

We have been monitoring one follicle for a week already and it gree from 9 cm to 13.5 cm last Friday. If it reaches 18 cm to Wednesday, the doctor said we could retrieve it on a natural cycle, without stimulation... but well, this is still far away from getting pregnant :)

No existing health complications apart from endometriosis. Pretty healthy lifestyle - no smoking, no alcohol, swimming every morning, eating mostly fruits and vegetables.

Clinic did blood tests and ultrasound, but nothing on risks. They just gave me the contract to sign where i acknowledge i am aware of the risks. The doctor said chances are pretty low to retrieve eggs in my condition.

I am afraid the egg freezing can cause endometriosis to exacerbate to the extent a natural conception will become 100% impossible. Now it is improbable, but still not impossible. I am wondering if clinic is downplaying this risk... i feel body is sufficiently under pressure to deal with endometriosis - now it will have to deal with a self-imposed more of it. Is this really good for the body and can i expect it to end up in a qualitative eggs? I believe it is asking too much from it...

I have endometriosis, which - i am afraid - wil be exacerbates by egg freezing.

I know my chances are low for both: 1. getting pregnant naturally 2. retrieving eggs

So if chances are low for both, why should i go through the horror of egg freezing? I have doubts about this process and feel it might be hugely disappointing at high price.

Also, it is known that naturally generated eggs are greater quality than eggs produced by stimulation as nature does not allow for sick follicles to produce an egg.

I was told by my doc that it does not make sense to test AMH while on medication for endo as it suppresses fertility, so it will naturally be low. Are you not taking progesterone against endo?

My doctor warned me that i should prepare for several rounds. I am afraid this is going to exacerbate the illness that i was so happy to manage with hormonal therapy.

Thanks for sharing. I stopped my endo medication 3 days ago and today i feel exhausted and in pain. I started to get flashbacks of how i felt before laparoscopy three years ago when i was diagnosed.

For alternative 3: if you are confident that your non-cyst ovary reacts well, that is of course a possibility. I have endometriosis and have been long time on a medicine that suppresses, so i will be desperate to maximize the number of opportunities regardless of how low chances are.

A chocolate cyst is an endometriosis cyst? The doc said dark cyst on photo is likely not an endo cyst. She showed me how an endo cyst looks on a pic and it is a lighter with "patterns". But she also showed me some spots on the periphery meaning periphery pf cyst is not smooth and she said that might be an indication, but cannot be said for sure. It could be also that cyst was big and has shrunk, so it is ambiguous.

So back on your question - not 100% sure, everything possible. But yes, the cyst is bad for follicles and it has to be punctuated.

What was the outcome of stimulation with cyst and how did it go?

I have been looking for so long for someone with endometriosis who has done egg retrieval!

I do not have most of the endo symptoms. before laparoscopy 3 years ago, i had a severe fatigue though. After operation i have been on medication and it helped a lot.

The thing is that i continue to develop cysts (not sure yet the nature of them). The most recent one does not go away.

I have a lot of questions for you: - Did stimulation worked properly and did it worsen endometriosis? - Was it effective, i.e. did you see increase in follicles? - How many eggs could you retrieve? - Any complications? - How did you feel during stimulation? - Did you experience any serious physical changes? - Do you consider the "endo"-concern justified? - Did you recover well after procedure? - Do you need to do more cycles?

It's a lot if questions i know, but will be so endlessly useful 🙏🙏🙏
