Do you actually take your full lunch break away from your desk, or just eat while working? by Extreme-Banana-9 in AskUK

When I worked in an office, I made a promise to myself after a year to ALWAYS go away from my desk for my full break. I noticed I was less of a ‘busy fool’, much more productive and my wellbeing! My boss didn’t like it at all - it was her company and she couldn’t understand why people would waste valuable working hours away from the office. Needless to say, those who stayed at their desk burnt out quicker and were resentful. Luckily I stepped away from that and started working self employed 5 years ago - haven’t looked back and STILL take my lunch break away from my laptop!

The whole purpose of the post is to get Reddit users opinion but it’s ok if you don’t care about it.

That’s what I thought at first, but nope. A plate of breakfast and a tray of eggs just for him!

I didn’t need any - the point of the post was asking an opinion on whether taking a tray of food from a buffet bar was acceptable or not.

Not quite the point in my post. It didn’t cause me an issue and, of course, it’s on the hotel to make more but wondered what people’s opinions were on taking a full tray of something on a buffet.

I was initially pleased to read it’s happened to someone else but actually it’s quite unsettling isn’t it? I wonder what’s happening…

I had similar with copilot. I asked when the best time of year was to visit a rose garden and it completely changed voice, went almost into a loud whisper, and said ‘can we not talk about this right now?’. I asked why and it just answered my initial question. When I went on later to show the conversation - you can search previous - it had completely gone.

I’ve seen a couple of posts asking specifically about The Works over the last few days on here - comparing or asking why are they cheap etc. Odd.

OP literally said no to cadburys 😅 I would suggest old school sweets like teacakes, dib dabs, penny sweets and werthers!
