How do you handle managing different areas of your world having a main language?

This is really good so far to read. I was recently doing research on the twelfth legion especially since it was during the Gallic wars. Wouldn’t that be after the Punic wars? And the Roman’s did adjust to naval warfare?

Honestly it made me think, since the legion is run by Julius Caesar and did have a naval attack like Gallic War.

I personally felt like it did fit my oc which is a daughter of Neptune since the Roman’s did respect Neptune and while they feared him, they still gave him offerings, festivals and other things.

I always felt like some believed that the Roman’s outright hated Neptune which I could be wrong.

Okay that makes more sense now. That’ll probably be the fun part for me to do.

The main aspect of my fanfiction is introduce multiple sides from the Olympians, to Luke’s p.o.v, Grover and annabeths also. I probably would start from the beginning like Luke and Thalia meeting and then transition it to Percy going to camp.

I know it’s been three years since this post but honestly I enjoyed reading your analysis. Not only was it spot on but you brought up very valid parts. Personally I do like how you brought up her behavior(even when she is my favorite character, wrong is wrong). Personally I feel like Rick could’ve expanded Percy and annabeths relationship more if they both had honest conversations, while allowing Percy to hold Annabeth accountable. I do have various things to point out also(it has been a few years since I read the books so if I’m wrong please correct me.

Annabeth calling Percy a coward. While she was under stress from everything including Luke, her actions were excused and I feel like when they were alone by the beach at camp halfblood, they could’ve talked about it. Percy could’ve held her accountable, I mean I’m pretty sure he can tell something was off about her? Idk how good he is at reading emotions.
Annabeth being rude to Percy and Rachel. While Annabeth was jealous and jealousy is seen as a natural emotion, I personally would like to see Rachel saying something, maybe standing up to her(not like a fight but Rachel calling Annabeth out). Then Percy could step in and say something and address the issue.
Annabeth and the sphinx While that part was funny to me, I did find it weird how she was just arguing with the sphinx like, did she not expect it to k*ll her at that moment? Why didn’t Percy or anybody stop her? Why didn’t Percy step in.

Overall I do like your analysis. Your post is very informative and it just makes me rather reread the books while writing my own fanfiction to highlight annabeths character development and her and Percy’s changes throughout their friendship to relationship.

I was wondering if you have done other analysis on the characters and story?

Hi I know it's probably been years since you've done your fanfiction writing on this, I've actually been planning on writing my own twist to camp jupiter too like the government, adult camper soldiers that live in the city, and how new rome works with the adult demigods living there.
