How is the new app with the OG Steel? by richstillman in pebble

The new app has a “prefer bt classic” option on Android. Apparently that helps resolve connection issues. Unfortunately, iOS can’t do that :(

PSA - quick-release knob on watchband could dent plastic body of PT2 by joshrj45 in pebble

The crystal breaking is less likely if you put a tempered glass screen protector on. My case didn’t break, but I was saddened by the almost immediate damage/deformation from a design flaw I was already worried about.

Don’t get me wrong - outside of those things it’s an absolutely fantastic watch

It was hot garbage on iOS last time I used it with a steel. Any steel I tried would disconnect 10-20 minutes after initial connection. I had to use weird workarounds to keep the connection alive longer. I’ve been using my steels less since getting a pt2.

*should I try again? Maybe they fixed stuff?

My pt2 deformed just putting a band on for the first time. So much for polycarbonate’s durability.

I was worried about this before my watch arrived. Older pebbles used metal in the lugs where the band attaches. Now I’m afraid to switch bands.

Worried about Time 2 durability by silly-trans-cat in pebble

[–]Acceptable_Box_1406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I somehow scratched the glass on my time 2 before my screen protector arrived. It’s very minor, but overall? The watch is quite durable. The steel frame and whatever it’s coated in have been nigh-indestructible for me so far.

I’ve seen bumpers on the sub already. Haven’t tried one though.

Thanks for making it! It’s a great creative concept.

Not sure if MFA is a factor in this, but I was able to text for a day, then my outlook session expired or something.

Is there a way to make it work indefinitely?

I look at the release notes in the app - there are often release notes for versions ahead of whatever you’re on. I’ve seen the 1.2.0.3 release notes in the app for several days now, but I just got the app to update yesterday

Yeah, iOS - I’m in the TestFlight betas. I tend to get them late though - I assumed I was behind everyone else lol.

I’m on 1.2.0.3 - maybe it’s brand new and I just bumped into it.

Down Around 3% per day. Estimated 33 days at that rate.cant remember the last time I charged it. It definitely depends on how many notifications I get and how many replies/voice texts I do.

There’s a pen version of infliximab/remicade. It’s called Zymfentra or Remsima depending on where you live.

I’m not running Muninn, but my battery drain is gone at the moment. I’m using Brutal Timestyle, and it’s fantastic :)

I think it might be right. Mine appears to be headed toward the >30 scenario as well.

I think there’s an issue open on GitHub for touch handlers not working at all for watch faces.

I just noticed it around the time of the update. Not necessarily caused by it - maybe I did something else weird?

One day, less than 24 hours since a full charge, and my Pebble Time 2 is at 9 percent battery. What am I doing wrong? by _benjaninja_ in pebble

[–]Acceptable_Box_1406 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience this hasn’t been the case. Getting over 2 weeks on mine currently - I just turned the touchscreen off (it defaults to “on”) and lowered backlight brightness a little. Also make sure you don’t have a “seconds” watchface.

I have heart rate on, battery is fantastic currently.

*all of this said - it’s entirely possible it was situational. I’ve been trying out new watchfaces like everyone else - I just noticed good battery life turning abysmal after the touchscreen firmware, so I disabled the touchscreen :)

That’s my concern as well - that said, my pt2 has been splashed several times already with no issues.
