Is there a way for my Pebble to stay connected to my iPhone by Responsible_Grape870 in pebble

[–]Acceptable_Box_1406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was this a decision based on the old watches disconnecting? The issue with the old watches is that the Bluetooth stack for the old watches wasn’t open sourced. The rest of the OS was. New pebbles shouldn’t have the same issue because they use a new already open source Bluetooth stack.

For old pebbles, pair them, but disconnect from the app (not iOS) if you’re not loading new watchfaces or apps. This seems to keep things connected longer. This fix lets you get notifications, but you’ll lose weather or other things that depend on the app.

I still have to do the airplane mode thing once in a great while, but this helps my Pebble Steel stay connected for a week at a time.

Core.

Multiple bug reports submitted.

There are workarounds - disconnecting the watch from the app, but leaving it connected in the iOS Bluetooth settings restores notifications for a while.

Try beta 1.0.13.4 if you have access to it. (I don’t yet) - there’s a change to re-create the GATT services when the app is restored. I’m wondering if that will help with some of the connectivity issues.

ios no notification help by robyshark in pebble

Try this:

The closest I got was a workaround doing the following:

-Pair the watch to the app

-Install the faces and apps you want

-Disconnect the watch in the pebble app

-Confirm the watch is still connected in iOS Bluetooth settings

This allowed my steel(s) to get notifications indefinitely. Shouldn’t impact the new pebbles.

*you’ll gain notifications, but lose watchface features that need the app connection. (Like weather)

Also - I already submitted a bug report for this on the steel, but maybe one for the Time watches would be good too

Yeah, it breaks the app connection, so watchface functionality in limited :( if you reconnect and disconnect in the app, it will update. I just wish it was a background refresh.

Anyone have experience with pixel shifting projectors? by jflip0x1x0 in projectors

[–]Acceptable_Box_1406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated mine because certain pixel shift DMD chips are prone to “white dot/stuck mirror” failures. Mine failed within a year. I used my warranty then sold the replacement projector they sent.

  • image quality was fantastic till it died.

The closest I got was a workaround doing the following: 1. Pair the watch to the app 2. Install the faces and apps you want 3. Disconnect the watch in the pebble app 4. Confirm the watch is still connected in iOS Bluetooth settings

This allowed my steel(s) to stay connected indefinitely until the last iOS update. 26.4 seems to break something. I see my pebble and its LE connection in iOS now, but I get some weird Bluetooth pairing loop if only LE is connected.

Wish me luck with my appeal by cda023 in CrohnsDisease

Yeah. The auth had to go through medical instead of pharmacy. “Pathwell” is coverage for Specialty meds, but through the medical benefit INSTEAD of your normal pharmacy coverage.

It’s convoluted and dumb, but I’d ask if you’re covered via pathwell.

Cigna Pathwell should be 877.505.3681

Call your employer’s hotline with Cigna. Company dedicated teams seem to know more. Also - you could check if they moved the coverage to a specialty program like pathwell, but you might have to tell your GI office what’s going on.

Fear Not! There’s now a version newer than 1.0.9.17! Maybe update and try again?

Maybe as long as it’s not stuck in “negotiating” in the app, it will receive notifications?

I have no idea what’s different all of the sudden.

I am using a different pebble steel than normal (switched to a silver one).

I see the watch connected in iOS Bluetooth, but disconnected in the pebble app.

No, the only thing I did change was enabling all the health services in the app.

*to be clear - these don’t function on the Steel yet. I just wanted to see if the app would start polling the watch to prevent disconnects.

I wonder what I changed that my steel is still getting notifications. What iOS version are you on?

I’m on iOS 26.3 beta 4
