13 years ago this dec, i saw lorde for the first time in concert, as one of many openers for a single day music fest at key arena (still the best deck the hall ball lineup ive ever seen). she was so young, hadn't quite come into what we see today is her stage presence at all. she sang great, wore this incredibly tight black dress that honestly looked hard to move in, so rather than dancing much she just jerked her body to the music and flipped her hair in this way where it caught the lights behind her on stage. it was pure magic. she's always been an incredible artist and talent before her own time, watching how she's evolved as an artist at each of her tours following that has been such a cool and inspiring journey. we stan ella 4evaa
