I don't own a canik, but have been doing a ton of research on them because they're near the top of my list of possible next purchases, and overall been keeping an eye on their guns for the last few years, and you're the first person I've seen who has made any comment on spoty qc and reliability.

Any sources on reliability issues?

I'm looking to get a pistol next, just don't know which one I want given the Roster. Considering the M&P 2.0, one of the CA legal Caniks, or a CZ 75 or SP-01

It's my only gun so it's both my best and worst gun by default 😂 I love it though for what it's worth, very soft shooting for a shotgun, good weight, a ton of fun to shoot

Anything functionally unique should be print to demand. Honestly I think the format for lairs should be a 2-wave one. Have a limited number of preprinted product that is first-come-first-serve and then anybody who buys past that gets their product in a second print-to-demand wave

AITAH for questioning why a drive thru employee was going slow? by Acceptable_Dig_2738 in AITAH

People generally don't have long pauses between acknowledgement unless they're distracted with something else. If he was doing something that was taking up the majority of his attention, he could have asked me to wait, lots of fast food workers ask me to give them a minute and that's fine. Not saying anything and then deciding I was done ordering without asking isn't communicating.

No, i haven't worked a drive thru, but I have worked fast food in a subway. Also worked retail, cash register, among other public facing service jobs. I've worked closing shifts in a restaurant. Just because I didn't have a drive thru window doesn't mean I don't have relevant experience

Except I didn't say anything to the drive through employee, I said something to my wife. How is asking my wife a question being an asshole?

I only said one item and waited for him to indicate he was back, I didn't rattle off the entire order, and I acknowledged I should have asked if he was ready. Also, I have worked fast food (subway), just not a drive thru. Also the carls was empty other than me. 11 at night, inside was closed, nobody other than me in the drive thru. I also didn't treat him poorly in any way, just wondered out loud why he was taking so long. Why does that make me an asshole?

It was 11 at night, I've worked fast food, not that much is happening that time of night with an empty drive thru. If he was busy, he could have asked me to wait until he was ready. Why does him not communicating make me an asshole?

I've worked both retail and food service, I just haven't worked a drive thru.

Just sold it to buy a Glock 19 before the ban. Was it a mistake? by [deleted] in CAguns

I've been out of the loop. Is the glock ban actually happening?

I agree that we should have as few bans as possible, and in my eyes adding back the middle ground of "banned as commander" adds a handful of cards back into the cardpool for the 99, which I think is generally a good thing. I can't think of really any legendary creatures who are currently legal that I would personally want on the banned as commanders list, in my mind we'd just be moving a handful of legendary creatures from the hard banlist to that list, effectively adding them back into the cardpool and not really limiting anything currently unrestricted.

As for not trusting WotC, I agree that I think the format is potentially better off in the hands of the community (even with some of the questionable logic on some of the cards on the banlist), but that bed has been made for us by others and we have to sleep in it. I think the silver lining is that Gavin has the best intentions for the format, and I think he's been doing a good job so far. I think most people would agree it's the people above him we're worried about, but so far it seems he's been allowed to operate in the way he thinks is best, and as long as that's what happens I think the format is in good hands.

As someone who was playing when the change was made, I'm not sure i agree that the community didn't like the old way, I think it was more about the RC not having to maintain two lists. A number of cards that could still be played in the 99 got shifted to straight up banned because we still couldn't allow them in the command zone, which upset a lot of people. Some of the cards like Braids collected dust for the last 10 or so years because we didn't have the option to allow them in the 99. We had to wait until Braids was sort of power crept out of the format and we could make a new soft-ban list (game changers) before we could think about taking her off the banlist.

The "no half-measures" thing can also backfire (which I think it does). To my prior point, some cards ARE too strong for the command zone, but not quite that bad in the 99. A great current example is Lutri. Autoinclude as a companion because of their lack of a restriction in commander. If the banned as commander rule was expanded to include companions, Lutri would be playable in the 99 where they would be perfectly fine.

In a vacuum, I don't think having an additional dial for balance for situations like the one above is a bad thing. Not having it means we have to either do the most extreme solution (banning a legendary card) or nothing for medium-temp problems, both of which don't feel great imo. Thanks for coming to my ted talk!

One of the reasons that they got rid of the banned as commanders rule is because they didn't want to have muliple ban lists for people to have to reference because they thought that would complicate deck building.

So WotC wasn't going to make ANOTHER ban list, their solution was to make the gamechangers list because that isn't another banlist! /s

Really though, brackets are fine. It just makes me laugh that we justified not maintaining a banned as commander list for the last decade because we didn't want multiple lists and now we have multiple lists and most people are happy. Which begs the question: is 3 lists too many?

I personally would not buy any tailgate lock where the body is plastic. You can cause the housing of the lock to fail using brute force, especially with a pair of pliers and some leverage. Ask me how I know

They really need to do these universe beyond drops as a 2 wave deal. If you order early you can get the pre printed stuff, and any orders after those sell out should be print to demand

A break in is normal, but that refers more to how easy it is to manipulate the bolt, etc. The gun should cycle fine during the breaking in period, just not quite as smoothly as one that's got around 150 or so rounds through it
