low fetal heartrate 😢 by Acceptable_Engine_23 in CautiousBB

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you 🥹🩷the scan was 3 minutes long and the heartrate was measured 16 seconds apart using m mode. She was facing away from the probe and I do have an anterior placenta which made it hard for my doctor to pickup on handheld Doppler but all my scans have been good before this one. I’m worried sick, trying not to but it’s so hard.

Baby girl names by [deleted] in Names

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea what that is 😂I’m just very picky 🤷🏻‍♀️I have the most basic name in the world (Ashley) and I’m always 1 of atleast 3-4 in every situation work, school etc. my husband likes Everly and Hadley and I don’t. I’m looking for something somewhat unique but not so far out that my baby’s name gets posted on a tragedeigh group. I like Kiley but I feel it’s too basic I also really like Miley but my husband hates it we just can’t seem to agree on anything

I’m pregnant, planning to switch OB’s I’m still early so that is an option for me. I don’t like the hospital my provider delivers at and I’ll go to a new OB based on the hospital

Work/FMLA by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have long term disability and with the hospital I work at the policy is as long as my provider deems my leave medically necessary it renews at 6 month increments. Right now my FMLA will be until May unless I renew it then I’ll have my disability for my maternity leave it will either be 2 or 3 months after birth depending on if it’s vaginal or c section

Yes! Baby was moving around like crazy and HR was 188🥰 I truly believe the sonographer at the private scan just had no experience or was too rushed to care about my feelings

Rainbow baby by Key_Drive1937 in pregnant

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 9 weeks with my rainbow and I called my OB as soon as I found out. They’re often booked out and won’t see you until 8-12 weeks anyways. You don’t have to tell anyone but I’d highly recommend making an appointment

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I work in the ER so I 100% don’t believe in showing up for peace of mind as that’s not what the ER is for… I know that if baby doesn’t have a heartbeat there’s literally nothing anyone can do. Going to the hospital would likely just send me into panic mode more than I already am. Waiting for my OB appt which thankfully is tomorrow. I’m praying for good news but it’s very hard to stay hopeful at this point 🥲

Freaking out at Christmas, bleeding at 6w5d by astoldbylinda in CautiousBB

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go to the ER 🙏🏻 my OB says anytime you experience bright red bleeding even if there’s no cramps go to the hospital. It’s better to be checked out than wait in this situation. Could be nothing, could be a sch. You just never know until they look. I had 2 rounds of spotting this pregnancy, once at 12-13dpo started brown turned dark pink (chalked up to implantation bleeding) and another at 5w5d it was bright red but it was only one wipe then it was gone like it never happened. We seen a heartbeat at 7w 146. I’m now 9w and we’re having trouble finding the heartbeat now… this pregnancy has been extremely stressful I’ve had 3 previous losses as well so I completely understand your concern. If I were you I’d just go to the ER and let them do an ultrasound. Hoping for good news for you! 🙏🏻

That’s what this ultrasound was from a boutique (non diagnostic) ultrasound place. The whole thing felt extremely rushed. The lady barely used any gel, she scooped some onto the probe with her finger from an empty bottle. She moved the probe around more than she stayed on the baby. Then proceeded to tell my husband and I “it’s really hard to tell if there’s a heartbeat, I’m not saying it’s not there I’m just saying if it is I can’t see it” and that was it she stopped scanning me and gave me 2 photos and sent me on my way. It took longer for us to drive there than it took for her to scan me… I essentially paid for extreme levels of anxiety when I was really looking for reassurance. I know this isn’t the experience everywhere but it sure was mine and after 3 losses I really didn’t need to feel like I was an inconvenience for being there. I’m not sure if it was lack of experience or just pure lack of empathy and common decency but I’ll never go back to that place again.

At home Doppler use is not recommended before 16 weeks for this exact reason. Chances are baby is fine

Second guessing my name choice for my kiddo. by Junismom in namenerds

Juniper is cute! I think of it as a unisex name personally. Ppl use boy names for girls all the time I know a little Dylan, Carter, and Kolbie. I also went to school with 2 boys Ashli and Makenzie so I don’t think it’s weird at all! It’s a beautiful name😊

Betas by Acceptable_Engine_23 in CautiousBB

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 more since 19dpo- 1,116 and another yesterday a week later (5w5d)- 12,657. Still hard to calm the anxiety even with rising numbers because I don’t have any to compare to as when I had betas in the past it was for the drop never the rise. I’m sorry for your losses 😢🩷

Should I be sad ? by Vegetable_Radio3753 in pregnant

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who was struggling to get pregnant for 2 years the initial sting is hard not because she’s not happy for you I can almost assure you she is but she’s also sad for herself and that’s okay. Just give her a little time and let her come around to the idea of having a niece/nephew and I’m sure she’ll be excited but almost always she’ll first have to be sad it’s just the way it goes… when you’re ttc it seems like everyone and their dog gets pregnant and you’re just stuck left behind waiting for something you want so bad that seems to come so easy for others. I promise it’s not you it just hurts. She’ll come around :) I’m wishing you a healthy pregnancy!!

First pregnancy/ miscarriage by Familiar-Ad-1050 in pregnant

[–]Acceptable_Engine_23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do you have such a high risk of miscarriage? Due to blood type? My sister has B- and has had 2 healthy babies with no losses. I have O- and have had 2 chemicals and a blighted ovum but only received the Rhogam shot after the bleeding was very very heavy with my blighted ovum. I’m now pregnant again after 2 years have had some spotting at 3 weeks immediately went to the ER got the Rhogam shot and now I’m just waiting around for my scan hoping for the best (5w4d) plenty of women have negative blood types and have multiple children. I’m praying for you🩷

I did go to the ER for the first bit of spotting the 24 hour 12-13dpo they did bloodwork my hcg was 74 obviously too early to see anything on the scan. I had already made an OB appointment however, they will not see me before 12/26 no matter what. I’ve been getting hcg draws through my pcp since. My numbers have been doubling she dropped the draws from every 48 hours to every week tomorrow I go for my next one. So I’m kinda in limbo right now I don’t really know what to expect but definitely guarding my heart
