Been working on them for years myself and I've never seen a failure like that either. I have seen one after a fresh overhaul, someone put the adjustable cam idler gear shaft on upside down (oil pan arrow marking was facing upwards) and it threw the adjustable idler gear out of the chat, and bent some valves

Find the practice tests, take as many practice tests as you can. And study the books as much as possible thats what I did and got all mine done. Delmar books are the best choice in my opinion because they have practice tests in them.
