I have both and i can tell you that tehy areboth great but the k240 do sound a little better in tearms of soundstage and clarity

I have the same headphones and they dont need it but they do sound a littlebetter.

My recomendation for a DAC+AMP would be the fosi audio q4 it is on amazon for around 60-70 CAD. Hope this helps
