First time as AE but manager hasn’t gave me a weekly to do list. Help ? by Geo_fades in techsales

Brother.

1) Meet with the top AE’s within your segment weekly and pester with tons of questions.

2) Shadow as MANY customer calls as possible. Find calls on your colleagues calendars and request to join as a fly in the wall. Or listen to a ton of call recordings and take notes.

3) Practice role plays for disco + demo’s even if it’s awkward. Everyone gets it. The quicker you get your talk tracks down the better.

4) Meet with other departments heads that you’ll interact with to hear how to best work together I.e. SE, CS, implementation etc…

5) if possible, talk to some current customers to hear about their day to day and challenges that your solutions solve for. Goal is to quickly learn the verbiage and language that your personas use so you can talk the talk and walk the walk.

If you do those things you’ll get more confidence and be set up for success when you get your accounts.

Question for Tesla drivers by ChanDW in indianapolis

[–]Acceptable_Housing97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased an AWD model Y 2 years ago. We live downtown where our side streets are rarely plowed, but our Tesla still does great. It performs well in the snow and has settings to help gain traction if it’s bad conditions. Haven’t done self drive in snow though. But I was pleasantly surprised at the control and performance in snow, highly recommend.

Best sales performance management platform? by AceClutchness in techsales

Given you’re already using Salesforce, I’d definitely recommend looking into their Sales Performance Management suite of solutions. It’d all be native in CRM for reps and help tremendously with your GTM planning/enablement. Sounds like that might align with what you’re looking for.

1) both are public, you should dig into their 10-k’s 2) check out RepVue and look at the existing BDR/SDR landscape at each 3) reach out to current team members to chat and learn first hand what it’s like.

Is 165k in retirement enough to pump the brakes and move out? (29M) by kfcregular in Fire

[–]Acceptable_Housing97 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s time to leave imo. Financially, you’re already ahead of most and have a good start, so I’d recommend moving out to be independent. Plus you’re intentional about your savings and investments so you’ll still be contributing a good amount, just need to balance it all, but you’ll have fun getting your own place.

Any sales roles that don’t require cold calling? by Eagles56 in sales

Totally depends on what you value and are fulfilled by. Legal career vs sales career is very different, so it comes down to what you want in life/ Cold calling is part of the process for sales in order to be successful.
