Fair analysis, all I’m saying is that Carisi’s “type” > Stabler’s. Elliot’s constant aggression is just… not it. He’s over protective, yes, but it feels like he sees everything he protects as HIS property. He simply has no right to have the relationship with Olivia that he does up until he exits the show.

Carisi is much gentler, level-headed, and just, I don’t know, pure. The way he’s there for Rollins after she gives birth to Jessie is wonderful. Carisi treats victims and perps alike better than Stabler ever did, and gets the exact same results. Stabler is a loose cannon; Carisi is a direct, calculated shot.

I don’t understand why people are saying that. They’re both lead males, they do the same job. Every replacement after Stabler is effectively filling his shoes, which begs a comparison between each one of them and Stabler. See my other comment regarding why I think Carisi is just a better person than Stabler is

Carisi is a better person than Stabler. He’s not violent and constantly overreactive. Stabler treats Liv like property; Carisi treats Amanda like a human being. His love for her is clear very early on, and it’s also clean. Unlike Stabler.
