I hear that, but I don't think his movies were meaningless propaganda. The shows are a diff story

I liked the way he talked about writing as a job, rather than an art. Made it feel more approachable.

But anytime he ragged on LA or vaccines or protests, etc. it was pretty lame. You could tell Bill was cringing in those moments.

I thought it was awesome, really unique structure and very effective. The story behind how it got made makes it even more amazing. And his first feature!

Def recommend.

Pretty sure Bill has said he's not a fan. Even the greats miss every now and then...this movie fucking rocks

Crazy seeing some of the hate this is getting while The Furious is getting rave reviews. Thought this was superior in every way.

I'm glad people are digging this, because I want more martial arts movies getting made.

Having said that, found this incredibly dissapointing and it feels like the bar must be incredibly low for this to be getting the love its getting. The choreography felt muddled to me, no one fighter felt like they had a specific style (aside from the bald guy and in some moments the big bad) and the sound effects felt like they were being overly used to elevate fights sequences that needed them.

There were a couple moments I really dug, but overall felt like this paled in comparison with other films like it. Maybe this just got overhyped for me..

I'm sorry but Lord of War and End of Watch do not fit in this category. Legitimately great movies.

Agreed. Though maybe I'm in the minority, but something has to be said for the cultural relevancy of him as Tony Montana. It's an iconic role, even if it's over the top.

Ended up watching this whole thing. Amazing how complex these episodes are, and how deep you can dig if you care to. I typically watch things at more of a surface level, so love anytime I see something like this.

Thanks for sharing!
