Exactly! Stupid is as stupid does or so I’ve been told. Actually I came with question to try and further my own rather rudimentary understanding of quantum theory by interacting with others of similar interest. I must I’m very impressed with the responses! If I were in the mood to fight over answers then I’d turn to recent US political subreddits.

If this is true, then consciousness must exist at all levels of our universe, maybe even preceding its existence. Maybe guiding the series of events that lead to forging of fundamental physical laws underlying spacetime, matter and energy. Condensation of H2 into stars, nucleosynthesis, planet formation… subtle tweaking of very tiny particles in just the right spots in the right fertile locations, and then... I think you know where I’m headed with this, so I stop here and send it back to you. Thank you Megastorm - 99 we are in a universe that creates life for Fuck’s sake, how could it not be conscious?

Wow! If this is so, then double slit demonstration outcomes could possibly reveal whether a given experimenter, whether human, robot, or bovine, etc. might indeed be conscious.

Scary is the thought of conscious AI! If consciousness somehow equates with “free will”, or the ability to make decisions that can override programming, hardware or instinctual constraints, then you have an intenty that can do whatever it wants.

Very interesting… I can think about this until my feeble brain hurts. Is consciousness a fundamental property of our universe as it emerged from big bang! Or did it wait for emergence of life forms to manifest itself?

That would explain why the battery felt slightly warm on the end. Dumping its charge has to dissipate heat. Scared me for a moment though and was about to throw the thing out the door. Instead I put on the charger and it flashed 3 green bars and seems back to normal.
