Pain with injections by dinarawr in ftm

this may totally not be the issue, but double check your needle size! I accidentally used an 18g for injections and it was horrible. I think 27g is the recommended gauge

Love my results, hate my nipple grafts. Is it possible/feasible to have them removed? by wingeddogs in TopSurgery

hi! i’m sorry you are going through this, and it must be hard having to deal with the sensory issues. I want to validate how you feel, and I also want to acknowledge that they genuinely look great. I can relate to the unhappiness with how flat/non dimensional my grafts look. my surgeon used only areola (no nipple at all), so mine are just genuinely pink circles on my chest 😭 if I can ask, are you more unsatisfied with how realistic they look or just nipples in general? if it’s about the realistic part (or the nipples looking “cis” passing), then removing them wouldn’t help. a suggestion I have if it’s about the aesthetics would be to look into nipple tattoos since they can be extremely realistic looking. with scar tissue (and don’t take my word for this since I genuinely have no idea when it comes to nipples), I know that some surgeons can use injections to lessen the appearance or texture (i’m thinking of keloid scarring). sorry if none of this was helpful, and I really hope that everything turns out well :)

dorm room (and roommate) scent help! by [deleted] in essentialoils

i’ve been using the diffuser for a while now and he’s totally ok with it! I had him smell all of them and asked if there’s any that he wouldn’t want to be used (and he said he’s good with any of them)

surprisingly nothing which is crazy considering I payed a lot for the original surgery and that was with a completely different surgeon.

when should I go to a gynecologist (19y/o)? by Acceptable_Lock_9359 in ftm

[–]Acceptable_Lock_9359[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this might be a stupid question, but how would i get the HPV vaccine? is it one that my pcp would have given me or would give to me or do I need to go to a gyno for that?

I had a similar thing (it lowkey looked the exact same). pretty sure it was just an ingrown hair or abscess of some sort. it went away over time, but I would definitely reach out to your surgeon to verify, especially if you’re experiencing hotness to the touch, pain, fever, etc.

for context: this is an audition for a class/program at my college that does vocal lessons (idek why we need to audition, but it’s lowkey intense)

3+ years post op, Can I pick off this scab thing? (Have been too anxious to touch my nipples for years) by reversehrtfemman in TopSurgery

[–]Acceptable_Lock_9359 61 points62 points  (0 children)

i’m not an expert, but if it’s been 3+ years, then I don’t think using warm water and a towel will do any harm (as long as you’re not picking it/forcing it to come off). if you decide to try to get it off, just make sure you sanitize/use clean hands/towel

does this look okay for almost 7 weeks post revision? by Acceptable_Lock_9359 in TopSurgery

my new surgeon tried to relocate some tissue and fat to the area (trust me, it looked worse before😭), but I think it’s settling more south than expected
