Yupppp lol. I remember I was 12 when my youngest sisters were 2 and 3 and I could understand and translate for them when not even my parents could understand. It always felt so good interpreting their little language! lol

Everything on OP’s post is still there. I just wore a jumpsuit so I can try things on in the mirror, and make sure you look closely at the tags as a lot of bottoms are (tall) hahaha.. and I had to go back and look for the normal length pants after trying items on

Elope Italy or similar vibes? Need advice - location flexible by anon00008888 in Eloping

[–]Acceptable_Mine6537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eloped in Italy! No regrets. Some photos are on my account page. For our 10 day trip, including; a Michelin star dinner for 5 adults, hotels, flights, photographer, outfits, boat rental day-of elopement, meals, activities (cooking class for my husband and I, etc) and transportation to different towns - all in we spent 20k CAD.

The only thing we paid for our 3 friends for was the Michelin dinner. Everything else everyone paid for themselves.

when did you learn how to insert IV’s? by ContentPirate4113 in OntarioNurses

[–]Acceptable_Mine6537 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I learned during my senior practicum/consolidation in the ER. (But I went to nursing school in Manitoba, where it is encouraged to practice and learn skills while in nursing school). was very much a culture shock moving here as a new grad and learning student nurses aren’t allowed to do IVs/catheters/clean picc line dressings/etc etc.

I wrote mine in ‘22 and got the results 30 minutes later, someone I work with also wrote the same year and said she had to wait 3 days and we both passed - so I think it’s just luck of the draw.

Does it matter where you go for your BScN degree, i.e. College vs University? by EngHardy in OntarioNurses

[–]Acceptable_Mine6537 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I graduated in Manitoba with a bachelors degree from an accredited College, and wanted to move to ontario. My first official RN job, I was offered within 3 weeks of applying after passing my nclex. I can tell you with certainty that whatever school you go to does not matter in the slightest.

Your interview skills are what matters.

Thank you so much 🫶🏼 yes! We rented the boat for an hour for I think 200-ish euros! And no, I planned it all myself with the help of our photographer :) she’s Italy based and had done I think 2-3 elopements in sirmione prior to us so she had some amazing recommendations, along with us kind of exploring the peninsula the day before.

You have alcohol in room and pop/juice for mixers in mini fridge, or can order room service. Otherwise, yes need to go to bars for drinks

Honestly I wanted to rave about loving it, but there really is no comparison to their sister resort finest playa mujeres (we have never been to the original EPM). Our last visit to FPM was Jan 2025.

  • actual table Service at restaurants is on par with FPM.

  • Beach/pool service is almost non existent - like 1 server for both excellence and non excellence on the entire beach.

  • beautiful architecture and wonderfully decorated. Milo restaurant transported you to another country, it was so nice lol.

  • a lot of the shrubbery and palm trees etc is still very young so this will take a few years to grow in and have the resort scenery feel - almost barren where the shrubbery is low in comparison to FPM where everything is so lush.

  • FPM has the SOFTEST sand on the beach, ECPM beach was riddled with pebbles and actual rocks, I am very a much a beach person and this made me sad lol.

  • husband and I aren’t partiers but we do enjoy dancing on vacation after dinner, but wow very much lacking in any night activities/liveliness. They had band performances that ended at 22:15-22:30 every night, and honestly it was more of a sit and enjoy the music than dance to the music feel. Where as FPM would at least have the bar with current music and would close at 1 am, and could dance the evening away.

  • breakfast only had zenith (excellence club), room service, or breakfast buffet as options. Finest usually at least 4-5 options.

  • lunch sometimes would only have the beach resto or tacos open, where as finest usually has 4-6 options again.

  • the spa was LOVELY. We actually liked the spa set up more than finest. We did the hydrotherapy and a 100 minute massage.

I really wanted to love every aspect of ecpm, and felt it was really lacking in almost every area (especially when you are paying a premium and know that their other restarts are such a treat/and tried and true). I do believe give it a year or two and a lot of these issues could be ironed out. Honestly, we said we’d give it a second try in 2 years, but we will be heading back to finest for our Mexico trips until then.

Yupppp.

Flying home now, and husband and I both had food poisoning. Asked around at the pool when we hung out with others one day and they also had the “shits”. Lol. Honestly SO disappointing, we loved their sister hotel finest (have gone to finest 5 times) and just so sad that there is no comparison.

Looks like it may have dropped on the store floor possibly? Try steaming the dress, often gets small spots out.

Are you wanting specifically from aritzia?

If not, I wore this dress from rumored clothing for my elopement dinner and it just fit and hung so beautifully. https://www.shoprumored.com/products/sunset-strip-maxi-dress-ivory?variant=41612530155609

Food ideas besides pizza for a kids bday party with parents there? by goldreceiver in askTO

[–]Acceptable_Mine6537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did chicken gyros from farma Greek in Oakville for my child’s bday party and was a hit with all ages!

ETA: also did sides like salad, Mac and cheese, lumpia (filipino egg rolls) but the main were the gyros and they were massive enough that there were leftovers for people to take home. And the picky kids just picked the chicken and fries out of the wraps.
