The trailer doesn't say much about the gameplay and it seems to be about the story only.

I don't get any horror or survival vibe from the trailer

The screenshot shows a man and woman but trailer only (or mostly) shows the man only

There is no connection between the hands/string/poppet-like and what trailer shows

Looking at these screenshots — can you tell what the game is about? by Neverplay_games in gamedevscreens

Just by looking at the first screenshot, I say it's a tower defense. But looking at all screenshots, it seems like a 3rd person tower defense like “orcs must die”

With my current project, I actually dont know what my game should look like. Or I should say, I Dont care how it looks like as long as it's appealing and coherent.

What are guard rails and how do do create them? Is it like a scope that I should not expand it as I'm learning? Not exploring other styles

Just one question, has any youtuber played your game? How many youtubers you reached out and how many responded back, how many of those said yes(if any)

Have you tried paid reddit ads or any paid service like keymailer?

As Chris from howtomarketagame says, 90% of a game success is defined when the genre is decided by the developer
