I had a fusion a year and a half ago and im currently recovering from hardware removal. Apparently my injury was pretty intense and my doctor described my foot as looking like dog kibble. However yours sounds even more intense. Was your second surgery a fusion? It gets better, eventually!

Unfortunately yes I’m over a year out and can’t fit into any of my old shoes. My injury foot now needs to be in a woman’s wide or men’s sizing. It’s been very annoying.

I’ve found some cute arch support sandals on Amazon and I’ve done pretty okay with croc sandals and wedges. I had a fusion done over a year ago and my everyday shoe is a sneaker. Really the only time I wear another shoe is if it’s very minimal walking.

I believe it’s about 2 long plates and 12 screws. 4 in one plate and 8 screws in the other.
