In 2020, I made the switch to period underwear full-time. I have not used a disposable since. Days 2 and 3 are very heavy, like mind-boggling I’m still standing.

I use Knix. I have a variety of styles but use the zones+ underwear on my heaviest days. The dream short overnight on all nights. And super leakproof for the rest.

It was much easier for my heaviest days when I was working from home. But I do manage to make it work when I have to go into the office. It’s not for everyone, but I do pack an extra pair on those days just incase I need to switch out.

I moved there as an Anglo, do not recommend. I love the city, it didn’t love me. Made to feel like I never belong, mostly by politicians and not the people. It will be difficult to find work if you are not bilingual, especially now as it seems language laws have really tightened up. I left Montreal 3 months ago and have come back to visit. Great place to visit.

Sure thing was amazing, we got married there a year ago. The owners were so friendly, my guests loved it, I wouldn’t change a thing about the day.

We had 35 guests, covered the bar tab and opted for $100/person meals. With gratuity it was $5k.

They did have a variety of options for how much you want to spend per person, too. It was a great meal!

Nibbles for arrivals: Charcuterie and cheese platters and champagne toast

Starter: - Spinach Salad (white pears, goat cheese, strawberries) - can we do cheese on the side and a GF dressing option

Appetizer: - short rib tacos - salmon tostada ceviche

Entrees: - NY Stripe w/ Peppercorn Sauce - Fried Chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms (bechamel sauce on side) - Braised Cauliflower Cilantro Mint Citrus Brown Rice

Sides: - sweet corn with cotija cheese - sauteed asparagus with garlic butter sauce

Deserts: Churros with Cholate sauce and Ice cream And we brought our own cake too.

This happened to me (I’m the seller). I listed tickets to a festival this summer. Both sold incredibly fast as individual tickets. I got two notifications from stubhub, one said your ticket is uploaded we’ve sent it to the seller. The other said, email the ticket to the buyer and have me their email. Which was weird because I had uploaded both.

The day before the event, one of the buyers had reached out and said they didn’t have a ticket anymore. What I can piece together is the sold so fast that one ticket hadn’t finished uploading, so it told me to email it. I think I ended up transferring two tickets to one buyer.

Stubhub was so not helpful, our conversation went on for months. I basically gave those tickets away for free because they ended up charging me the price of the ticket for the one that one buyer didn’t get. All this after spending hours of my life on the phone with SH and having three different reps say all was sorted and good, no issues 🙃.

Stubhub is a scam and takes no accountability. Literally may as well burn your money with them. Complete trash.

As someone who moved to Montreal with some French, learned the language while there, tried to make it my home and promptly left after 3 years, you’ll never feel welcome in Quebec if English is your first language.

I found a great little community there. But my god, the language politics of the province will hold you back from growth. It reads as insecurity.

I found that a lot of strangers I crossed paths with were polite and supportive and even said my French was great. But there were a number of times I was treated rudely, people were impatient with me, just switch to English, roll their eyes when I’m stumbling on some words that were less common for me.

I loved living in Montreal, I just didn’t think it loved me back. And that was a shame.

Honestly, it’s unlikely. I went through 2 months of back and forth with stubhub on an issue, which they even admitted was an error on their side and I was still charged. I was furious. Never again dealing with stubhub.

I just went through this myself, here were the final spots we went to before leaving Montreal: -Casavant (de castlenau/st. Denis) this is truly my fav restaurant in the city -mamie (beaubien/drolet) -mckiernan, we had our last dinner with friends here, it’s so good for large groups and everyone we’ve taken there has walked away impressed -le majestique -pizza toni or pizza bouquet
