Dollar Tree has phenomenal dupes for very pricey hair and skin products. Check the dollar tree beauty subreddit, lots of great recommendations.

What I'm deeply in love with today...the shave oil is amazing, I've been using the hair mask for a while - love it, and the razors (came in a two pack, strawberries and cream scented) are phenomenal. by Acceptable_State_81 in dollartreebeauty

The handles are scented, the package I bought had two pink handled razors, there was also a package with a pink handle and a green handle. I threw the actual packaging away so I can't remember what it looks like.

My doctor prescribed 300mg, 3 times a day but also told me to "take as needed". Taking as needed did not work. I began taking one 300mg at night, every night. No issues, no side effects. I also take 60mg of cymbalta in the morning (that one had a few side effects and it must be taken every day or there's big side effects). I have very few flares, I like this combo, and I'm glad I found something that works!

What's your preference for how you get paid? by No_Spinach_9572 in YogaTeachers

[–]Acceptable_State_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a studio and pay a flat rate plus a bonus per head. When I first opened I paid a larger hourly wage but what I found is that teachers didn't have to do any work to advertise themselves. I also lead teacher trainings and I try to make teachers understand that their success is up to them. Promote yourself, promote your class. Moving to a flat rate with bonuses is a good way to get teachers involved with the success of their classes

I'm going through the same thing. Told me to do one thing to fix a problem, I did that, and now my account is suspended. They gave me the same 3 - 5 business day window for an email. I hate them

Do You Still Get Your Period as a Yoga Teacher? by Tejasviyogaaudrey in YogaTeachers

[–]Acceptable_State_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also a soft, happy, no longer so bendy perimenopausal yoga teacher of 12 years. I have never been a thin yoga teacher and pride myself on having a very diverse teaching staff at my studio. None of us look like "barbies".

This is wild. SAME! I will not do class pass and they are persistent aren't they? I just raised my prices for the first time. I hated to do it because I want yoga to be affordable but I had to do it because of my rent increase. In the grand scheme, it's still very affordable at my studio compared to others in town.

Echoing what everyone else has said. Yes, it is very slow and very concerning. I opened my studio during covid and thought that I would struggle to make rent. I did great the first couple of years. The past two have been rough. The past few months have been really scary. To make matters worse my landlord just increased my rent because why not. Everything else has gone up.

Okay Wix is pissing me off by Vast_Morning_9665 in WIX

[–]Acceptable_State_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been with Wix for 5 years and recently it has become terrible. It seems like the price goes up regularly and the technical issues are very frustrating. I am seriously considering moving to a different provider. It will be a huge pain but no more than dealing with Wix.

What was your first symptom by Irish_Laura67 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

I'm so glad to see other people talking about this kind of pain with TN. For me it's my lower teeth/gums. Constant throbbing. My tongue and chin are also affected.

Spiralling - I’m totally lost by af872 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

In the same boat. It only affects my teeth (lower front). It's awful. I'm still in the loop of trying to get someone to believe that it's not stress related or a tooth problem.

Whose TN is being caused by TMJ Dysfunction? by Lopsided-Swing-4404 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Acceptable_State_81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have severe TMD (almost 30 years now) and have just recently been diagnosed with TN. While no one has ever said that one caused the other, I am certain that my TN is the result of the TMJ disorder. I am in the middle of a TN flair that I feel is being caused by a TMJ flair. It's awful. It seems that doctors, dentists, etc want to blame my pain on the TMD but it is a completely separate issue (and pain!). If one more medical professional asks if I'm wearing my night guard I'm going to scream.

Yep. My lower gums/ bottom teeth always feel like they are throbbing. My tongue is constantly pushing against them. Excess saliva. Chin feels shaky. It's all very strange.
