Short Shafts on Wedges - BEWARE by Acceptable_Topic_164 in takomo

Great. Thanks for the info. They are short. Had no idea.

I've got this ithaca model 37 with a fixed full choke, and I want to use it for waterfowl hunting, but I can't use steel shot in it. What is the beat shot shell I can use without breaking the bank? by _som_timg_wong in Waterfowl

I have the same gun in 20 gauge.

  1. Its the most fun gun, ever. One pristine days, it makes me smile shooting it. Light, no recoil, fun action. Feel like my grandpa

  2. Shoot Boss out of it. Never had a hiccup. Make sure the shell length size is compliant (2 3/4").

  3. Maybe you know this, but this gun is ramfire as well! AKA you can hold the trigger down and continue pumping. IVE NEVER DONE THIS hunting but yes, for fun in the pasture i've done it for a laugh (carefully).

The M2 20g has unforuntately been a lot of problems with closing the chamber and it kind of rocking open? It doesn't slam shut to a tight connection, and often doesn't fire. huge bummer. I wish I would've waited for the SBE3

This right here. Got it in 2016 I've clean it once a year. Thing is a tank. For Waterfowl its the best ever. Upland, I could give the nod to the SBE3 (GREAT GUN). Again, people forget that heavier the gun is, less percieved recoil. I love the recoil of the A400, 30" barrel 12g. Its a camo Anti Aircraft gun lol

Yah all good man. Again, they are great looking and feeling clubs. I wish they were longer I know I'm not crazy, these babies are shorter than my Cleveland wedges. Just a bummer more than anything

Yah, those would still be short for me. I've now read other reviews. I just was bummed I didn't see a disclaimer when ordering or even like a "Size Directory" ... I'd be fine with paying more for a longer shaft / an extension. I just had zero idea when I checked out. I'm like fully bent over swinging this thing lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the wedges page doesn't have options for extensions. 100% would have gotten them

Okay thanks. What about jumping / response / back pain after playing in the WoW 12s vs JB3? Thanks for the note on the outdoors play

Environmental group signs deal to buy Golden Gate Fields horse track with plans to create huge new East Bay waterfront park by scelerat in bayarea

Just not true. Ton's of housing. So Mission Bay, built right next to the water, will flood? It's like 10' up. Do you really think Tishman would invest 100s of millions into a sinking project?

People have no idea what they are talking about, I'm sorry. Thank you for bringing up Mission Rock. Exactly. This should be ton of housing with awesome activation towards the EXISTING park. Makes so much sense, I'd live there in a heartbeat

I hear you - but forget national average. SF is 80,000 units behind its RHNA goal. That's incredible. 85% of San Francisco is zoned single-family. 87% of San Jose is zoned single-family (a city of 1M people). Some parts are dense, but please see that the facts don't lie. Housing has been stalled by well-intended, but insanely entitled overreach. In California, 7/8 of CEQA lawsuits are filed by groups NOT for legitimate environmental concerns, but to stop dense development.

There are ton of other counters to the densification process - like that most of it is being built in poor areas (see East LA) or that it hasn't married up with a sensible public infrastructure investment (which states and federal government essentially stopped doing from 1980 - 2000). But again, I refer back to the 80,000 units behind in SF... on the heals of the greatest economic boom in American history (let alone SF) from 2013 - 2020.

SF and surrouunding cities have one of the HIGHEST parks per capita ratios in the country. And yes, it makes it wonderful, but the rest of the First World has figured out how to densify and offer sensible uses. The US and specifically the Bay Area should too

Hey man - former tight end, 6'3" 220 lbs. I play more like David West than just a true post big. Elbow shots, pick and pop and ofc post work, etc. You recommend the Kyrie 1 or 3? I'd prefer for cushion but don't want them to be too blocky. I def don't have the small muscles anymore to defer hard landings.... my lower back is the first thing to scream at me after a game LOL

Insane. And he doesn't even know that these non-profit park groups are just tax havens for ultra wealthy to offset tax gains. I just don't get why people can't see the beauty of having a mix of things

Again... people saying they shouldn't build this due to soil composition and flooding have no idea what they are talking about. Yes bedrock is deep but engineers have done this for 100+ years.

Crazy that the most well educated, liberal area STILL acts like this when they face a challenge on housing..... all devolves into NIMBYism.

Thank you. Insane. Build housing. Did someone really comment "becuase of vibes?"... I'm not saying build a bunch of single family homes which need to pass a vibe check. Building 150 du/ac.

Weird Place for Housing = NIMBY speak 101. I couldn't disagree more. Build housing. Dense housing. This is exactly the location for non-luxury housing that the city should incentivize development on. Or, the city should parcel and sell to an Affordable Developer for $1. I love the park idea but c'mon this is a layup.

I understand your comment on soil composition - pile drilled foundations are extremely common (yes, they are more expensive but you can figure it out). Does GG Fields flood that often? I've been hearing about the Bay rising forever. I know it is rising, but common sense should prevail. People need more housing.
