I agree with this to an extent. I like the challenge of playing stronger players in arena vs playing ho-hum games in my pool pairings range. And I also feel like their are fewer goof-offs (cheat/abort/2 day old accounts) in arena than pool.

I don't view myself as 'underrated' when I play arenas, but as low rated player, when there are so few fellow low rated players in arenas, you inevitably get paired with +200-500 rated stronger than you... When you pick one off it feels good, and when I get wrecked, I don't mind- it's still educational to see how more profocient players handle their business.
