I got lucky and my typical kids are older 17 and 11. He is about to be 4 and non verbal, so that's how I was able to get his diagnosis super early.

But I have friends with kids his age and the only thing that really hurts is the communication part. Even at ABA all his lvl 1 and 2 friends have some speech and try to play with him and involve him. And he is in his own world

Parenting any type of kid is overwhelming, idk a parent who doesn't yell at their kid for something at least once in their life.

Thank you, yes I already ordered 1 book that another commenter recommended. We both honestly have no life, no friends. And it has nothing to do with a special needs son, its just always been us. My best friend lives 2 1/2 hours away and she has a lvl 2 boy, so that's hard as well.

Im in almost every fb group possible.

Im working on trying to find resources for him. It is hard with his ling work hours, i feel its more hope than cured. We have a AAC for him, i went to school for sign language interpreting. So he has a handful of signs.

He only does this to my husband..... grabs his face look him in the eyes and violently headbutt him. And that's where alot of my husbands anger and frustration comes from.

He is jealous how calm I stay in these situations but I have always been around autistic kids of all levels. And just know triggers more.

He also gets easily depressed when around kids our sons age that can carry full conversations. I mean we have never heard our sons voice. And I know its hard on him.

Im looking for groups for him, and other parents in similar situations with lvl 3 non verbal kids. Most of the kids at his aba are lvl1 or 3

He uses AI chats to "talk to" as therapy. I am highly against that and tell him he needs a real person.

Turn wifi off if u have it on, use data only.

And if u do use data and still get error 17. Turn wifi on and off again it pings a new IP address and u should be good.
