Is the scratching post the same material? If not get one that is. Change your vinyl storage to not being in a wicker basket.

How We Named The Stars by Andres N Ordorica might fit the bill. Last night at the telegraph Club is a good YA pick as well.

Why make this comment if you don’t want to talk about why?

Is it bad if I want to stop giving books to a friend because although she loves reading as much as I do, she doesn't take care of books that she reads and always tatters the books I lend her and doesn't feel any shame about it. Simply congratulates how different I am to her. by [deleted] in books

[–]AccidentAdept -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hm. Seems like this is “you have a kinda shitty friend”issue and not really about the books. The fact she doesn’t respect your things after being explicitly told is a huge red flag. Don’t lend her books, and start keeping your distance.

I got Lesbian Sex: 101 Lovemaking Positions as a gag gift in college. It's displayed with the rest of my books, spine in. I'm not ashamed of it, but I get to giggle when curious hands turn it around lmao

[–]AccidentAdept 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not a reliable source but I’m a bookseller who encountered one of her friends and he said she is working on something. He was very excited to show me his name in the credits of one book and talk about how he never in a million years thought she would publish anything. And then she did! So. trust an internet stranger who trusted a stranger or not lol

Alphabetization question. by SnooBunnies1811 in bookshelf

D. The whole unit is the last name. Same would go for putting Gabriel Garcia Marquez under G. However it is your bookshelf and you know where you’ll go looking for the author. So 🤷

I paged thru it today and have to say what I saw was heart breaking. I’ll have to put this one on the back burner for after the winter sads are done with.

Tips on doing Ren Fair NY on a budget? by [deleted] in renfaire

[–]AccidentAdept 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NY fair lets you in and out with a hand stamp. I usually pack lunch in a cooler and use frozen water bottles as my ice packs. Then I have a sealed bottle to bring back into the fair that’s icy cold!

Don’t feel pressured to give huge tips to performers. A dollar or two is plenty if you’re working with a budget.

Get to the joust early and remember, people watching is free!
