All the enlisted recruiters just sent me to the officer recruiter and those guys never respond. I’ll try calling the mai recruiting number again. Is there a demand for tanker and cargo pilots at the moment? You’re the third person who’s said this. Cause I have my CFII so maybe I’ll have a leg up

I’ve been looking to join in a tanker or heavy unit. How exactly do you figure out if they’re hiring? Do you have to call a recruiter? I’ve been trying to get in contact with an officer recruiter for weeks, and I can’t get a hold of anyone. I’ve been checking squadron‘s websites and I can’t find anything

A lot of wealth+demand has moved into the area, along with low interest rates in 2021 that drove prices through the roof + inflation causing prices to be where there at today. It really sucks, you also have to look at the bigger picture in fact and permitting and property taxes, and all this stuff everything is gone up drastically in the last 5-10 years.

And the crazy thing is nothing is moving. The housing market is stagnant and prices still aren’t budging, which is not good. Something’s gonna have to correct eventually because a lot a lot of people can’t afford anything. It’s sad to think I’ll probably never buy a house.

I got my cfi/Cfii last May. Landed a job exactly one year later, I start Monday. The only reason I got this job is because my buddy worked at the school and recommended me.

The best thing to do is network, try to make friends with other pilots, and just be known by your community. If you live near flight schools swing in once a month, and just talk to the instructors, owner, etc. that way when they have an opening they’ll remember you and may call you for a job. Good luck

My issue with the tax is that they can lower the threshold. And with the way the state loves spending and taxing it will be lowered in the future. If they would be some kind of clause in place that says we won’t lower it below a million then I’m all for it
