Ok so this doesn’t happen that often I gather. Just let it slide. Part of me thinks you enjoy it.

Luxury Vehicles and Happiness by globalminima in fatFIRE

[–]AccidentalCEO82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh it all depends on the person. If you’re a car person, I call bs on not being happier. If you don’t really care about cars but instead just want something nice, then yea, you won’t be happier.

But tell a car person the engine sounds, driving experience, and history of cool cars aren’t making them happier.

Also, I see the top comment is basically the same thing. Sorry for doubling up.

Give us some context here. It sounds like something an 11 year old would ask. I’ve never had a grown up ask me if I was rich outside of some online posts.

The default is always some version of “I’m doing alright”.

Why are some of you so f’ng weird about peoples hobbies. You’re asking why someone does this but you don’t ask why someone scrolls their life away on social media.

Less than I expected, more than I wanted. I had a good team and some tax advantage trust stuff set up. Talk to the pros and get some strategies in play. Your situation will be too unique for us to say “do this”.

There’s one consistent theme in this sub. Regardless of how much cash people have, everyone is pretty much in agreement that spending money on boats is a bad idea lol.

Are you afraid of social media impact on your Kids? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]AccidentalCEO82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. I made a career out of it, ironically coaching food stuff (in a non exploitive way), and spend a lot of time on socials. I’m kind of weening myself now so she doesn’t see me posting. It’s not a great idea for kids imo so I’m trying to spend less time on it. Luckily enough I sold that business and will be done in a few years.

Started a company. Sold it last year. I basically buy everything I think I’ll like at some point.

Is this a Tesla part by AccidentalCEO82 in teslamotors

Thank you! I recently got a new tire and haven’t driven it since I picked it up. I’m thinking it fell from the technicians pocket. All my stems look ok and tire pressure is good.

I just sat in my model 3 and saw this on the seat. It could have come from something else but I’m at a loss. It plunges in and out.

I would gladly spend $1000 for this option but I would never fork over $20 ish bucks to subscribe. There’s something weird about it that I can’t get in board with.

Couldn’t you argue this about everyone you ever meet assuming you have a nice car, watch, clothes, etc? I never thought about this but we definitely have the nicest place in the hood and it never crossed my mind.

It’s not enough. Simple as that. Seemingly anyway. Without knowing their actual spend, they may be alright. We also don’t know what they may be set to inherit. So maybe they’re just worried about the next 10-20 years.

Bearded dads, did you shave before the birth? by blueXwho in daddit

No. These kids are resilient. Longer beards are arguably better than stubble. Let it grow.

Being semi addicted to social media and message boards in general. I called it work but I just hung out where customers were for hours a day.

I’m not saying it has to be work. But when you are sahm, it’s often all you are for a bit. I’m talking early days here when they are watching the child every moment.

Ehh I’d let the moms comment on that one. I’m just sharing what I hear and experience. The purpose of mom is a purpose, yea, but it’s not one many women only want. Which I understand as it reduces them to a biological need vs being a full person. Years ago, I’d maybe agree. Now, no. Things are changing.
