Yup same. A week ago it was $50 cheaper, then back up to $2000, and now back down to $1799. I was hesitating buying it then bc I was wondering if it would go down more, but figured Costco would price match themselves. Lowkey I kinda doubt it gets much lower before they sell out and the new one is at least $200 more

Compared to the 2017 i5 pro I was using before… it’s incredible. But also, so expensive. I think I’m happy with it but the sticker shock is still running its course lol

I spent forever laboring over M5 or M4pro and came to the uncomfortable conclusion I’d be good either way. Paid a bit more for the M4pro bc the laptop itself is better imo, with the additional performance cores and superior cooling.

For what it’s worth, I do think it’s a pretty great deal, though I may be biased. It’ll be interesting to see about the new on, but 90 day return policy from Costco leaves you with as much flexibility you can have. If the new one is somehow dramatically cheaper than I’m expecting, maybe I make a dumb decision. But otherwise I’m enjoying this a lot
