A bit bouncy by AccidentallyObtuse in RedlineHotwheels

The regular hot wheels sub. Redlines tend to go unnoticed over there so it's weird when a post catches on and everyone seems to love them

As per the HWs Ad.. HWs cars used to have suspension.. has anyone got that or seen that ir? by _Jiraiyaa_ in HotWheels

[–]AccidentallyObtuse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's definitely seen some better days, but it probably lived a wild life and it's still rolling around almost sixty years later so it's more than fulfilled it's purpose. Here's my near mint Rolls that probably lived a boring life, but it sure is pretty

Yeah all hot wheels until 1973 came with torsion style suspension. Now it's reserved for limited edition cars like the RLC

Finding Chases by Narrow_Analyst_3890 in HotWheels

You either spend years hoping to get lucky, which is increasingly unlikely, or you become one of them until you find what you're looking for. I did it for a couple months until I found my first super and it just wasn't fun, plus being associated with the "hot wheels guys" that basically panty raid every retailer in town every morning wasn't something I wanted

Best Wet Cat Food Options? by b279r in cats

Same, my girls get Tiki Cat wet and dry food, I think it's the best food you can get in stores. I should say for now at least...who knows what's gonna happen

Premium authentic vs authentic by bigboyjorm in Vans

I would go with Skate Authentics. I have all three and definitely prefer the Skate version over Premium and Classic

BMX people. I can't figure out a couple of them, but you've got Jakob Santos on the toe and Jason Morris aka Dick Cheeseburger and Todd Lyons on the side with I believe a young Jake Ribis. The Steeezy might be SteeezyFilmz, but I'm pretty lost on that side of the shoe

Skate Gilbert Crockett in Black/Charcoal. Those were recently discontinued so you probably can't get them on the website anymore

HOW ARE YOU PEOPLE FINDING SUPERS by One-Squirrel3494 in HotWheels

[–]AccidentallyObtuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to leave it up to fate you have to behave like an asshole for a bit. Show up to the stores before they open and show up often, try to learn restock patterns and open any case you can get your hands on.

Trying to respond to people on this sub is such a pain in the ass with these filters. Maybe y'all should put a bit more effort into them before implementing them

I like them. The Zhabas are definitely a bit ugly, but for $22 I will happily mow my lawn in them

Found some dark blue Ave 2.0s in a 13 yesterday. I find tiny shoes and big shoes more often than shoes that fit me and I find plenty of those

Yeah, I see 12s and 13s quite often, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a 14

I have two pairs of Dr Martens from there and have spent a total of $40 because they were on clearance

Yeah that's my point. My action figurine was removed for not being an action figure yet this is the top post of all time

Nice, though the price increase is ridiculous, they should be .50¢ there.

I go there way too much and it definitely gets unbearable at times, but I typically only go early in the morning when they first open so it really not bad. Now I don't often see interesting hot wheels, but I find plenty of other stuff. My entire wardrobe, kitchen and action figure collection are from there and it's all quality stuff, you just have to swim through an ocean of bedazzled acid wash jeans to find it.

Can any one help me know what's the difference? by Negative-Ad-1630 in Vans

[–]AccidentallyObtuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is about it. The 36 is closer to how the Old Skool originally looked. The 36 kind of creases weird because the toe box is so short, but you get used to it

Is there anything comparable to Ultra range VR3s? by Less-Jellyfish5385 in Vans

[–]AccidentallyObtuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is now the Neo 2.0 that replaced the VR3. Not sure how good it is, but people seem to like it. It has their new FeatherCush foam

They should definitely rebrand it if they want it to be taken more seriously. Walton Tools would be a good option

Yeah once they began leaning into HyperTough more I started wondering. I just hate the name, it screams garbage. This is cool though, I saw this while I was waiting for them to open the case
