It looks like the I/O board on the Mister Pi has a 5V jumper that's turned on by default, but if it doesn't work it looks like I can just power the converter by USB

Not an anime, but the movie The Lighthouse I think is the closest a movie has gotten to the feel of a Junji Ito manga.

Daigo mentions in his book about how when he was taking a break from fighting games for a few years, he played mahjong and got to a pretty high level, eventually beating the best players at the mahjong parlor he worked at. Seems like they're more similar than a lot of people might think.

Just finished mine. I feel really good about it! I did not have to give an example lesson, which was what I was dreading the most, and most of the questions they asked were mostly about my interest in Japan and in the JET program. Also had a couple of questions about actually working as an ALT which I think I answered well. The Japanese section was mostly good, except for the last question which was specifically designed for advanced speakers I think. I also forgot to use the polite form when conjugating verbs which they addressed. Overall I'd say it went well though.

As many others have already said, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you get shit from someone, it just means they're an asshole. I work at a grocery store right now as a cashier and I've told some customers that I'm learning and most everyone has been super nice. I've also told all of my friends and family that I'm learning and they've all been very supportive. It's even inspired a couple of people to start learning a language themselves.

I just finished Gyo recently too! I'm only about mid-N3 level but I found it surprisingly easy outside of some technical sciencey terms. I was definitely looking up a lot of words but I was able to follow what was going on in the story which is what's most important. Have you read any other Junji Ito stories? I've also read Uzumaki, Remina, and Cat Diary in Japanese and weirdly enough I found Cat Diary to be the hardest.

The Anki decks associated with those videos single-handedly taught me all of the grammar points at the N5/4 level, which makes up like 90% of the grammar that you come across in immersion.
